In the spirit (get it bwahahaha) of Halloween i ask this question: Which would you rather be bitten by and turned into afterwards? Vampire or Werewolf? Please give reasoning (if you have any) behind your choice. Only one choice please!
Myself: choose Werewolf. You get to be in the daylight and human most of the time. Only a few nights of each month going totally furry and chasing your meal. If it should be like many novelists have written then maybe you retain some semblance of your humanity and can control the changes. You may even be capable of exhibiting some of the better attributes if possible. Sucks if you are a vegetarian but increased life, healing with the transformations, stronger, faster, enhanced senses of eyesight, hearing and scent and others. Possibly hair where you had none before for those of us balding blokes. you can mark your territory and scare the shit out of the neighborhood dogs and cats. You can be Alpha role at your job (the boss sure ain't gonna dump on you once you go wolfen on his sorry butt, that is for sure) and the testosterone or pheromones will be rampant when you are feeling hot blooded. The possibilities are interesting.
Not like those dead, pale, cold only coming out at night blood suckers.
What is your thoughts?

Since, I'm a night person and I like my time alone with friends after 8pm to 8am in the morning that's where I'm most active and I would have to move to another country of where Sunlight is not much of a factor and being a vampire - it's offers you immortality if you are careful in what you do. And, furthermore you can stay young forever and that's would be an attractive offer and I would be a caring vampire of which I would raid the Blood Bank for the right amount of Blood to stay young forever and have an ability to heal my friends and loved one. Another advantage ... I would be a lot stronger than most people and I could be a night time Superhero aiding people along the way and that's would be a good thing.

I'm too much of a control freak to choose werewolf. It's true that, for most of the month, werewolves have it better, but at least vampires are always in control. They get to make conscious decisions about how they prey. Granted, that can be a curse in and of itself, but I'd rather be in the driver's seat.
And really, how cool to be able to live for as long as you want? When you've finally had enough of living, you can always fall on a stake.

Oh c'mon, is this even a contest? Werewolf all the way. Haven't you all seen Teen Wolf?

Really depends on the type of vampire (and werewolf for that matter), there are so much different kinds. Anything between Nosferatu and Twilight Sparkles is a pretty wide range.

You get to live like a normal person for the majority of the month and the only tradeoff is that you have to lock yourself up for a few nights. I'd rather do that than not be able to step foot in the sun.

Werewolf here, too.
It's like a back to nature trip, once a month, and then one can go back to a normal life. Besides, one never knows when one will meet Jenny Agutter after being bit by a werewolf.

There was a poll attached, but i think it dropped off when it was moved from the movie section to the general community section. With only 2 choices though, it is fairly simple to tell which option is being chosen. Will go for the pun and saying werewolf iswinning by a hair! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Most of the comics I'm reading at the moment are Marvels from 1982.

I'd definitely choose werewolf. Really, it's gonna have a minimal impact on your life, if you just manage it correctly.
Reading Marvel's Werewolf by Night (1970s), it constantly bugged me that Jack never made plans correctly. Seemingly forgetting about his curse until the hours before the full moon ("Oh, no! The full moon is tonight... I really shouldn't have booked this cruise"). As a control freak I would totally handle it better than that, so - just to prove that point - I would choose Werewolf AND manage my time!!
