This just came in on the Silver Age Reviews group at Yahoo:
"Sorry for the short notice, but I just thought of this last night.
Saturday afternoon (NY time), I'm going to a retirement party for veteran DC Silver/Bronze Age artist Joe Giella. After drawing the Mary Worth newspaper strip for the past 25 years, he recently passed the pen to June Brigman.
If you would like to write a letter to Joe with your favorite memories, or just a note of congratulations, send it to bobbuethe@gmail.com by tomorrow night. I'll print them all out, put them in a folder with the SAR logo, and give them to Joe at the party. If I can, I'll try to take a video of him reading some of them."
