Comes to me that there are quit the collection of fine feathered fowls found within the comics and cartoon world. Who do you enjoy the most? They all have their own spirit and fun but which bird "quacks" up the most?
I'm a big Daffy fan as his character works so well within so many genres and stories. His antics and attitude make for pure insane fun in most every instance and he is the perfect foil/antagonist against his pal Bugs. Uncle Scrooge is a close 2nd...

My favorite cartoon bird is Playboy Penquin - first and foremost because he's adorable. Voted for Others ...

The Barks Uncle Scrooge adventures are still some of the finest adventure stories I've ever encountered in my life: And while Barks didn't go too deep in exploring Scrooge's persona, he did enough to provide him with humor, conviction, many flaws, and a suggestion of a tragic past. Don Rosa later elaborated on that last part, in particular, truly fleshing out Scrooge into a complete and thoroughly human character: In short, Scrooge is one of the most well-developed characters in all of popular media, as well as the star of some of the finest comics I've ever read.

I voted for Woody--I was a rabid fan of his TV cartoons and would often imitate his laugh (much to my family's chagrin/embarrassment) and drew a lot of pictures of him (more acceptable); and as I have mentioned in other threads, this was one of my first (non-Harvey) comic books:

This was a tough call, but I chose Foghorn Leghorn. He was a bit manic in the early Bob McKimson shorts (likely due to Bob Clampett's influence), but once he settled down, he really came into his own. Foghorn's confidence and braggadocio, often unearned, resulted in him falling victim to his own machinations as frequently as his targets did. His finely-plotted, Goldberg-ian pranks perpetrated on the long-suffering "Dog" are legendary, as is his typically Southern, dignified aplomb even when every single feather has been blown from his body. "Fortunately, I say fortunately I keep my feathers numbered for just such an emergency."Foghorn Leghorn has greatly surpassed the long-forgotten medium that inspired his creation, and will likely be entertaining our grand-kids' grand-kids far into the future. Doo-dah, indeed!

A lot of good choices but I went with Daffy. The early cartoons by Bob Clampett depicting Daffy as truly, joyfully nuts are among my very favorites. I particularly love the Dick Tracy parody.
Cei-U! I summon that darnfool duck!

I voted Uncle Scrooge for the comic books. They really are incredible.
For cartoons I'd definitely go Daffy though. Rabbit Season!!

I voted Howard the Duck for the Steve Gerber comics, but he feels out of place in the poll, for me, because all the others I think of as cartoon characters primarily, never having paid much attention to their comic book appearances. Of those cartoon characters I would have voted for Daffy Duck.
