So as I am getting more into vintage toys and spend too much time listening to the Pod Stallions podcast, I am discovering a whole bunch of stuff I never new existed and never knew I wanted until I discovered them. And now I am creating a want list of vintage toys I would love to track down (like actually hunt for not just search ebay for) over the next few years, but doubt I would ever see out in the wild. There are a few things on my toy want list that have been there forever as well, so here is my top 10 I am hunting these down toys in no particular order, but considering the pricing on a lot of this stuff, they will mostly remain white whales... 1. Ben Cooper Dr. Strange Halloween costume... 2. Ben Cooper Dr. Strange jiggler... 3. The Mego Flash Gordon 10 inch figures.... 4. The Baron Karza Halloween costume... 5. The Micronauts Lobstros... 6. The Battle of the Planets/Gatchaman die cast figure set... 7. The Darkwolf (from Frazetta & Bakshi's Fire and Ice) Halloween Costume (on the left in the pic) 8. Star Trek communicator Walkie Talkies (I actaully had these as a kid, so not quite a new discovery, but a rediscovery) 9. Release the Kraken, from the original Clash of the Titans based on designs by Harryhausen 10. a Popy Mego Style Mark figure form Battle of the Planets... of course these are the new discoveries or rediscoveries fo things I had forgotten. The standard list of white whales include Starbird and Intruder, Big Trak, the Mighty Man and Monster Maker and others... -M

I don't actually collect toys but only knew of the ST communicators and Micronauts Lobstros.

I owned quite a few Ben Cooper jigglers as a pre-schooler. I had Superman, 2 Batmans, Spiderman, the Frankenstein Monster, 2 Draculas, and yes, Dr. Strange. I would get them as a reward for getting my shots at the doctor, and I used them as bath toys (I was four). Then, one day, I pooped in the tub. Bye bye Ben Cooper jigglers

A white whale for me in the wild would be these posters...more artwork than toys but definitely collectible and definitely on my "oh my god I need that in my basement NOW" list. This one tops my list

So far as I know...they made a fair few actually. There is a Silver Surfer one that is pretty cool, a couple Thor ones too. They also made them smaller as post cards...you can find them on ebay for a modest price $20-40 each. They are a lot smaller and not nearly as epic as the posters though...

I had the Kraken once for 2-3 years and somehow it's got misplaced and never, ever seen again. I was sad when this thing got lost or misplaced and I was frustrated when I spent a couple of weeks looking for it.
