MUCH better, this is the best one yet. Considering where I've driven the golf ball lately, I don't need to go camping.

the blacks in the logo look really pixelated on my pc - as they do in the classic comics forum outlines - plus the blue fill on logo has black pixels in it too. the stars need to be rotated 10 or 15 degrees anti clockwise - drop cap needs to be less severe and the blue banner needs a gap from logo itself - and then to my eye at least that will look really tight. like it a lot. I think this is probably as far as I can take the quality on freeware. It would be great if someone could take these suggestions and take it from here. I can send the files when I get back on Sunday night.

Love that new Banner!
Anybody would, in fact. Except Hulk.

I'm really liking the comic rack one. It hits the right nostalgic note w/o tying into one specific character, publisher or even genre. The circle on the left is maybe a little too reminiscent of the old DC symbol, but honestly, as a long-time DC reader, I can live with that.

I have a suggestion that may work as a middle road. What if we had a Classic Comics Forum logo? Then we could rotate the banner however we wanted, but by affixing the logo to it, we'd still get the branding we want. I put together a sample logo and a sample banner to show what I mean. Sample logo: And here are a couple examples of the logo at work: Man I love this logo. I think this with a black bar with the name and comics code would make it stand out more, and blend with the comics better.

Glad folks are happy! I still like the suggestions that ironchimp offered to make it even more professional looking, but I did all of this on crummy free-ware and am not in a situation to easily make these adjustments. Is there anyone out there with photoshop or comparable software who could do these tweaks? I'd be happy to send you the original files and make you a CCF Design Team member for life as thanks the blacks in the logo look really pixelated on my pc - as they do in the classic comics forum outlines - plus the blue fill on logo has black pixels in it too. the stars need to be rotated 10 or 15 degrees anti clockwise - drop cap needs to be less severe and the blue banner needs a gap from logo itself - and then to my eye at least that will look really tight. like it a lot.

I have over ten years experience working with Photoshop. Send me an email with the image attachments. The higher resolution the better. Is there a size limit that I should be aware of when saving?
