Years ago did DC Comics ever have their own version of trading cards series like Marvels Masterpieces series?

DC Cosmic Cards: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_Cosmic_CardsNowhere near as eye-appealing as the Marvel cards (those bland gray borders were the kiss of death), but the art was strong (especially on the hologram cards) and I liked the classic focus to the whole thing -- focusing on legacy and old history as opposed to the Marvel Cards, which largely focused on what was flashy and new. DC was hindered by the fact that they couldn't use Batman in any series of trading cards during the early 90's since the rights were tied up with Topps who were doing cards tied in with the films. Not actually sure when things changed or even if they did.

Not actually sure when things changed or even if they did. To be fair, it's entirely likely DC made more from the Topps cards than the Cosmic Cards.
