The "in full color" part is new to me. These have been colorized, or do they just mean it's a colorized reproduction of the original boards (notes written in blue ink will show up in blue, for example)?

I believe the Artist story included Stan's water color work in a few panels. Also your second reason is the main reason for reprinting in color, I believe.
