Just wondering if there's been any kind of announcement in regard to the future of the Saga editions after volume 7 ships in October. That will take us through volume 3 #136, meaning that there isn't enough remaining content yet for an eighth volume. I'm assuming a Usagi Yojimbo Saga volume 8 will see print down the line (probably in 2018, judging by how much more content is needed), but I'd love a confirmation on that. The Saga editions are rocking my world. I have them all in hardcover and would be heartbroken if they did not continue.

OK, if we look at them by books instead of individual issues, each Saga collects 3 books. Seven Sagas X 3 books = 21 books. Add the 7 books from Fantagraphics which were collected in the Special Edition and that makes 28 books. Book 29 has already been released. Book #30 is coming out this summer, and most likely book #31 will be out next summer. Hopefully, Saga #8 will be released not too long after that. Of course, we would not want the Saga edition to be released so close to the release of Book #31 that it kills off the sales of that edition.

That's why I'm figuring 2018. I was just hoping you'd heard something in the way of an official release schedule. It's such a long lull between volumes that I worry about momentum on the project being lost.

Although I'm loving catching up on the series I won't mind when things slow down. Usagi books are tying up the bulk of my comic budget these days.

I'd like to see eventual Saga editions for the later books, as it would be nice to have a complete set.

I got the Fantagraphics set and then have been keeping up with the Sagas.

I had previously read up to volume 23. I started back at the beginning again just as the Saga editions were starting to come out. I loved it. I might do it again later this year.

There may be "UY: Legends" or something like it which will reprint Space Usagi, Yokai, and, maybe, Senso in a format similar to Saga. This project has not been approved or scheduled yet.

Wow, would I love to see that! My apologies if this has been mentioned already somewhere else, but Amazon is taking preorders for UY Saga: Legends. Scheduled release is August 8, 2017. Here's a link to the TPB. Of course there's a hardcover, too. I'm eager to get this; I've read all the stories this volume includes but only own Yokai. Maybe we can look for Saga vol. 8 in summer, 2018.

Does including "Yokai" in this Legends volume rather than in the main Saga series mean we won't see exactly where it falls in Usagi continuity?
