I was excited when I heard about it, but the delivery is terrible. I mean, look at them.. those don't look like action figures, they look like barbies.
Both my 8 year old and my 11 year old girls scoffed at them. I'm sad because they're going to fail hard, and then we'll be even further from having good action figures of female characters.

I'm with wildfire2099 and having seen both of them in pictures - I have several friends whom they have kids will be very disappointed in them. I just don't like them both. Sorry.

To be fair, none of us are the target audience. Even Wildfire's 11 year old is too old for these. I'll have to see what my 7 and 4 year olds think of them.

It was the dolls we saw.. those action figures are awful cutesy, too.. but they're a little better. I could see my 8 year old playing with those, maybe. Let us know what you're (littler) girls think!

Oh I didn't know they were toys. I saw the books advertised in the back of Scooby Doo Team-Up.
I'm really glad this exists, though. I freakin' scoured Wal-Mart one day looking for Wonder Woman toys, but couldn't find any. Found Aquaman, Iron Fist and freakin' Bizarro, but no Wonder Woman! (There was an off-model Spider-Woman.)

It's also a cartoon.

Went looking for the figures at Target yesterday. The dolls were in ample stock, but the figures had COMPLETELY sold out, and I know it wasn't just that they weren't stocked yet because I found a Harley Quinn shoved behind some other toys in an adjacent section. Looking online, apparently the figures are selling out in a lot of areas. Granted, it might just be overly eager dads like myself, but this is a promising first step.
That being said, I watched the Youtube episodes with my daughters last night -- really not impressed with some of the decisions they have made, though it was great to see the voice actors from Teen Titans being used again.

That being said, I watched the Youtube episodes with my daughters last night -- really not impressed with some of the decisions they have made, though it was great to see the voice actors from Teen Titans being used again. What do you mean? Let's see. For one, it's teenage girls with powers at a high school. Pretty much a total rip off of twenty other cartoons targeted at girls that are on the air right now. If you've seen My Little Pony, or Ever After High (and I have, cuz I have kids), then there's pretty much no reason to watch this. For another, they're trying to pass off a number of villains as good guys as if they didn't have enough female heroes in the DCU to pull from. Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Star Sapphire? Considering that this will be an entry point for kids into DC superheroes, I'd rather they actually tried to get some of this right. And I don't even know who Bumblebee is. If they needed an African American hero for the sake of diversity, wouldn't Vixen have been a logical choice? And I hate any show that tries to show girls being tough and powerful, but then sends a mixed message with each being impossibly slim and wearing perfect makeup (and let's keep in mind that they're only supposed to be freshmen in high school). And Amanda Waller, as the saintly principal, is also impossibly slim. They took the ONE obese character in the entire DCU and made her thin. So much for equal representation and realistic body image expectations. Some will be bothered with this less than me, but I was irked. The only real positives I see are 1) it's not ALL girls, they are just the lead characters, and 2) Beast Boy and Starfire have the same vocalists as the Teen Titans animated series.

There are mini-episodes on Youtube, but a full length made for TV movie is going to air this weekend on some network I don't get (we don't have cable).

And I don't even know who Bumblebee is. You need more Teen Titans in your life.
