This is one of those tint little stories that despite its length is incredibly moving none the less. I loved that Usagi felt compelled to return to the grave of a fallen foot soldier he once fought with because he had never returned his small wooden figure. It was moving that he'd remember that interaction and it was interesting to again learn a little more about Japanese culture.

It has a lot of elements that make the series great: you learn something, the story is well-written and moving, and it involves cool samurai armor. |

A quiet tale which shows Usagi's honor in returning the good luck charm to a fallen comrade. He not only honors the memory of the fallen warrior but also continues the belief that the charm is lucky (as the soldier believed) in that perhaps Usagi survived because he had it and the soldier did not. Returning the charm to the soldier shows Usagi's appreciation and dedication to friends no matter how momentary and the respect and hope for the charm giving luck in the afterlife for the soldier. This is one to go back to time and again.
