Seeing Usagi with Shanshobo again was great, and I loved their conversation about Usagi fearing settling down but better still was their conversation about what to do with the letter. His passion about it made me wonder what he would haven done with the letter if it had not been stolen, would he have simply destroyed it? Been swayed by Usagi and delivered it to Noriyuki? Or did he himself plan to aid the overthrow of the Shogunate? We'll never know but there was definitely tension there.

A fine story setting up things to come and providing wonderful moments through out the story. The pure friendship shared between Usagi and Shanshobo showing that there is more than just the way of the warrior in life was highlighted wonderfully. That they could speak openly and laugh together was great. I thought it was splendid in the way both of their warrior souls connect and allowed them to come upon a method for protection provided from viewing nature and life as it occurs around them with the simple idea of turning water to ice.
