The Komori ninjas are still really generic, which again is frustrating as the concept is so cool but I really like Chizu and the look on Usagi's face when she first wakes up in his arms was fantastic. I think the best was the flirtatious banter the two had, I never really thought about it before but Usagi certainly attracts the ladies pretty easily where ever he goes and I like just about all of them equally.

I've always felt Tomoe was the one and only for Usagi. That being said, this story contained some of Chizu's finest moments. I found the way she tied herself up on that rafter in order to avoid detection while slowly dying to be just about the most bad-ass thing I've ever seen in a comic.

Tomoe is probably my favorite, but they are all so well written that it could be just about any of them and I'd be okay with it.

As someone who writes instructional documents as part of my job, the "verbal instruction" bit at the end of this story made me laugh, and it added a tragicomic twist to the story.
Chizu mentions thinking about a ninja's duty rather than all her slain comrades or else she'd go mad. We see in most stories she appears in that she's not slavishly loyal to the ninja code of duty and actually yearns for something more in her life. Usagi is not that something more, but I think he represents it to her, and her stealing those kisses is symbolic of drifting away from her old life. In fact, if I remember correctly, don't Usagi and Chizu share a "real" kiss sometime after she's deposed as jonin of the Neko ninja, and they immediately laugh about it as if realizing it could lead nowhere? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else; I can't find the scene right now.

I don't really mind the Komori and Moguri ninja's being generic as for the most part they are meant to play the part of the generic villain. Only meant to be an antagonistic obstacle for the hero to face and overcome within the story. They are meant to be faceless cannon fodder in a sense giving an urgency or edge to the overall storytelling. They perform that role quite well in this story and in others as far as i am concerned.
Chizu shows some outstanding skill and determination and courage in this story. She is willing continue to fight and avoid the Komori in delivering her scroll but even after it is taken she pushes forward in trying to take it back. She is even skillful enough for stealing a kiss from Usagi (which admittedly isn't really all that difficult it seems) in saying goodbye.
