Published: March 1991 Synopsis: Usagi recounts the time he saved Lord Mifune's daughter from a hoard of supernatural monsters. Notes: The first Usagi story other than "Samurai" to flash back to Usagi's days as a retainer, though it ends up being an imaginary tale. Discuss the issue and/or post full reviews below!

This is probably one of the funnest Usagi stories there is, the action is great, the monsters are fantastic(especially the octopus) and the framing narrative at the end that it was just a story Usagi made up to entertain some children was perfect.

it was just a story Usagi made up to entertain some children was perfect. I love when Usagi entertains children with stories. The later "Momo-Usagi-Taro" has always been a personal favorite.
