Summary: Two familiar woodcutters come across a giant egg and decide to boil it in the hotsprings. They are surprised when it hatches.
Meanwhile, an inkeeper recommends the hot springs to Usagi. While he finds them relaxing, he is pursued by bandits and caught without his swords. He defeats the first to jump in the water, but is still outnumbered and unarmed.
Fortunately, he had fed the creature in the bushes and made a friend. A big lizard named Zylla jumps forth and burns the bandits by spitting fire.
Thoughts: Not a lot to say about this story. It's fairly simple and mainly a cute reference. But fun.
"Are you a god, Zylla?"
"I'm on my way to the city! You should try your luck there too someday!"
Plus a nice little lesson about kindness being rewarded. Usagi fed the lizard, so the lizard burned people to death for him.
And we see the return of our favorite woodcutter and his wife. Or monkeys that look a lot like them.

This was a really cute story, and I wish we saw more of Zilla, but barring that I'm glad we see this plot with Usagi befriending wild animals to fun effect again.
