Bare in mind that I haven't yet read the latest few issues (in case this has since been answered).
Ever since I first got Sketchbook #10, I've been intrigued by this character on the back cover:
That completely neutral face, the exaggerated staff, the flowing hair, and the idea of herding the most adorable elements of Usagi's world into savage monsters (we've seen them ravenous before, but only when starved) -- it all just impressed the heck out of me. this character freaks me out more than Jei, and I want to see more.
Is this someone Stan is toying with using in the future, or is it a nod to some already existing character (perhaps from mythology)? I've always wondered.
