And it should. This is why we need to vote. It is almost impossible to know every single everything that will be written into a bill before it goes to its important place, and we have to trust our elected officials to vote appropriately. And they rarely do. I wonder who snuck that sh!t in. This is the priority in Michigan right now?!? Passing an unconstitutional, insulting, unenforceable law? But at least now we know why they can't afford to provide all Michigan citizens clean water. They'll need the money for all the new policemen to patrol the bedrooms of Michigan to make sure they're only having government approved sex.

Sir, that calls for a duel by bananas. At dawn..20 paces. When bananas are outlawed, only DC super-gorillas will have bananas. Works for me.

I've always hated the super delegate process but this just floored me, "Unpledged delegates exist, really, to make sure that party leaders and elected officials don’t have to be in a position where they are running against grassroots activists,” Wasserman-Schultz explained.
“We are, as a Democratic Party, really highlight and emphasize inclusiveness and diversity at our convention, so we want to give every opportunity to grassroots activists and diverse committed Democrats to be able to participate, attend, and be a delegate at the convention. So we separate out those unpledged delegates to make sure that there isn’t competition between them,”
Why not come out and just say it, "Party politics matter more than the popular vote, we're doing this for your own good."

This has my husband in an uproar since last night. He is soooo super angry about this. And he should be. We all should be.

I mean, it's nothing new but to just come out and say it like that, especially in a year when government reform and election reform are such talked about issues just comes across as so incredibly tone deaf. This should be the year for the democratic party to come out and say,"We've heard you and we want transparency too so we're doing away with the super delegates" but instead we get, "We know what's best." which just kills me.

Exactly. And it makes their motives crystal clear. They're not even TRYING to be sneaky. It's bolder than bold in a really awful way. And people defend it. *gag*
