I stand corrected but I would love to see how many of those deaths are a person killing a criminal. According to the Washington Post, 34 people are murdered for each criminal killed in self-defense. |

Oh boy...I usually avoid this kind of stuff...but I have a permit to carry. So does my daughter.
When she got her motorcycle license they required her to take a motorcycle safety course (which was great!). But nothing to carry a gun. Just a background check. Yes I taught her how to handle a gun but I have serious doubts that others get that kind of training.

I don't particularly care for the statistics, there are gun owners who are responsible and have the right for self-defense. Before this gets into a sermon from those who think we should lose the guns, join hands, and sing "We are the World", it's mom-in-law time. She's visiting and bought me one of these sets   It's the whole Ellis run, she found out what I was missing before she nabbed it. She also ordered my arse out of the kitchen since she wants Turkey rights today, and it goes well with English gravy. |

I may not have Omnibuses or guns but my father in law bought this (among others) for me two years ago for my birthday. (As he always insists on buying me something: imgur.com/a/uOMdz, And more: imgur.com/a/lGzmx. One per year for the last 8 years. So yeah I've got more. |
