Lord deliver us from the younger generation!
just came back from lunch to find email's galore from the other Administrative Assistants in the Hospital Departments crying over the fact an internal computer server has broken down. The server which connects to our purchasing/order department. All the other Assistants are in a panic as IT states repair will take 2-3 days and they don't KNOW what they will do about having to wait 3 days to place their electronic orders?!?!
Me being the "OLD MAN" at 54 years of age and working here 15 years had to remind these young women all under age 30 that before there were computers there was the old fashioned way of writing up your requisition. We have the form electronically,all they have to do is type in the information onto a Request Form and then once their supervisor signs it then scan it to PDF and mail to themselves and then can email to our Supply Chain to do the purchase order for them.
Damn kids these days panic over nothing and can't work their way out of a paper bag in the dark because they don't know how to think or perform without a computer. SHEEEEEEEEEEEEESH. Glad some of us cave people still survive for when the great cataclysm arrives after the robot overlords run out of batteries and electricity to govern us in their magnanimous rule, caring for and thinking for and doing for us everything...There i said it!

One of the challenges this election poses for all of us (within this community or otherwise) is that those who do not support Trump (regardless of whether or not they support Hillary) see this as a moral battle more than a political one. This is certainly not politics as usual when a candidate threatens the kind of things Trump has threatened and espouses attitudes like the ones he has espoused. Some of us feel a moral duty to speak out about that, and I understand that. However, we can still do so respectfully and while giving room for those who support Trump to do the same.
@razormaid, welcome to this community, and thanks for holding us to our highest ideals. We'll do our best to live up to them.
And, btw, if you use the "report post" tool in the dropdown menu at the top left of each post, the mod team is guaranteed to see a problematic post and respond to it much quicker. Hopefully, there won't be a need to use it again in the future, but it's there if you need it.

I realize the vast majority of posters here lean towards the VERY left end of the spectrum, but I'm not sure why Trump is constantly demonized while stuff like this gets brushed under the rug.

Maybe because she was laughing ruefully at the ineptitude of the prosecution and the judge. Nowhere is she laughing at the plight of the accuser. She was doing her job as a court-appointed public defender, a job she asked not to be given by the way, but which the judge essentially ordered her to take.
