I had a bunch of the Power Record records! I remember a big Batman set that had a story about him and Sherlock Holmes and the other had Gorilla Grodd. It was a 33 1/3 record. Also had a couple of Batman 45 records that featured the Riddler and Catwoman. I had others that had Man-Bat and Joker. Had a couple of Wonder Woman too. Those were so much fun to listen to and I want to say many of them were illustrated by Neal Adams, I think? pretty sure that's the one I still own on cassette. Wish o still had the book that went with it.

I own two of the book/record sets that I purchased about 10 years ago just to add to my Marvel Comics Memorabilia Collection. Never listened to the records.

As I just posted this morning in the What Classic COmics Have You Purchased Recently thread, I just got the Conan Power Record and Comic set...
I had the comic only from Superman and Wonder Woman sets, but this was the first complete Power Record set I have gotten.

Since I can't find an adequate enough picture, a commercial will have to suffice Around Holiday 1995 or so, I remember desperately wanting a Tyco Casper Stinkie Doll and much like the Buzz Lightyear Doll before it, I never got it in my stocking either. But I feel like the IRL Turboman Doll from Jingle All The Way more than made up for it

I miss those WWF Hasbro Wrestling Action Figures and I had a dozen or so of these figures and I just can't find them anywhere.

Recaptured part of my youth today and got this... I got that for Christmas in 6th grade and played the hell out of it for 2 years. Found a working one at an estate sale today for $3. Just finished my first game in nearly 30 years-left team beat right team 21-14. -M

I'm an '80's kid, and IMHO the '80's was the best era for action figure toy lines. I have fond memories of collecting Star Wars, MOTU< and G.I. Joe: ARAH figures during that time.
However, there were a lot of other nice toy lines as well:
Sectaurs
Crystar - the figures weren't that great, but would look good now with modern sculpting techniques
Power Lords
M.U.S.C.L.E. - not action figures, but a series of small plastic non-articulated figures. I remember having a poster of all of them as well.
Madballs - I think this line is supposed to make a come-back this year?!

I loved Adam Power (the main character), but found the rest of the figures disappointing. Saw these at a convention recently. Tried to explain to my 8 year old how they were my generation's Shopkins. She gave me the "what's wrong with you?" look in response. Do you remember the Madballs action figures they made a little later on? I loved those guys. Would have gotten one by now, but they go for crazy money on ebay:

Marx was great at repackaging their basic figures and accessories into new vwersions of their sets. I have to say, though, that the Guns of Navarone mountain was a really cool addition. It was after my time, unfortunately for me. BTW: Weren't marching soldiers a waste?
