Next time, I'll be sure to maintain a professional tone when discussing an Incredible Hulk ballerina costume I'm sure your students will appreciate it, but the real challenge is can you maintain a professional tone while wearing a Hulk ballerina costume? -M What makes you assume I haven't?

With as many cameras and surveillance as there is today, there would be photographic or video evidence if you had.... -M

Is anyone else confused by the fact that there is such a thing as a Hulk ballerina costume? Were I asked to pair two words that go well together, I would not choose "Hulk" and "ballerina".

I know I am. I'm assuming it's all part of a marketing plan to shatter the chains of traditional gender restraints. Still..the Hulk? How many little girls can identify with a raging testosterone filled monster that's also a cautionary metaphor for the atomic age? When someone has the nerve to market a Wonder Woman costume for boys then I'll be impressed. I'll just pop some popcorn, get on facebook, and watch the fireworks.

When I was four, my mother took me to the store to buy new sneakers, and I had a meltdown because I wanted the Wonder Woman sneakers on the shelf, but the salesman wouldn't let me try them.

It would have been interesting to see if the same salesman would have let a little girl try on a pair of Superman sneakers. I bet he would have, laughed it off, then directed her to the Wonder Woman shoes.

Well there are certainly a fair number of male cosplayers in Wonder Woman costumes out there, so there's always the possibility a market for such could emerge. I seem to remember seeing a pic of @bert in some kind of Wonder Woman themed costume or at least WW themed attire in photos from Dragon*Con or some other con, either here or at our former residence. SO marketing WW attire for males wold not necessarily be as far-fetched as you seem to think. -M

Dragon*con 2014 (although I was "I Wonder If That's A Woman" to go with my friend's bombshell Wonder Woman) and I do have several Official, and UN-official Wonder Woman shirts.

I wish I could have my hands on these toys once again: I loved those! I actually saw a couple of those guys at a flea market last weekend, there was a stall that was selling all kinds of old kids meal toys and I spent at least half an hour there in nostalgic bliss. I also liked the dino transformers that McDonalds put out around that time too

I remember being very excited when I woke up Christmas morning to find this bad boy under the tree...that tower was huge! I had that bad boy too, until we moved when I was in the 3rd grade. For some reason, the only GI Joe toy that made the move with me was The Intruder. Not sure if the rest got lost or if my folks sold them (I remember them selling all the Fisher Price stuff I had at that time as well as some of my other toddler toys and the Hot Wheels track I mentioned a few posts back in this thread). -M

Going back even farther...3 more toys I miss... the barn door made a mooing sound every time you opened it... and one that spanned early childhood through the toddler years and beyond... -M Ah the memories...the GOOD memories! My favorite of the lot was the "Play Farm".
