This is my newest piece, a copy of Frazetta's Death Dealer for my lady, who has bugged me for years for a piece. Figured if I'm going to steal, may as well steal from the best. This is also the cause for a lot more anxiety on my part as it highlights just how poor I am, and just how much I have to learn. Overly ambitious for my 3rd or 4th painting(by hand, I have done a dozen or so by air-brush too) but I know I'm good enough to draw the work in pencil(copy that is, my personal compositions are shit). I've also decided to lay it all on the line by adding in a copy of the actual painting...thus proving in my eyes how awful mine is. I was struck by ... indecision...fear...anxiety... when I brought the painting in this afternoon. I needed for Elaine to see it, especially as it was a gift for her(facepalm), but also from that part of your artistic self/soul which needs feedback about your work. However the longer I spent on it, the more I looked at it, the less inclined to show it I became. I even contemplated painting over it. Of course she was fine with it, "its really good isn't it?" was the comment, as if I hadn't just spent hours debating with myself about that.

Hey Gene...I certainly hope that I'm not stepping on toes by posting here am I? I'm well aware you started the thread to showcase your own work, but its such a cool title that it seems like the perfect place for us other folk to post our stuff too. In case anyone is wondering...those pictures up there (go on look up one post) mine is the one on the left

It's not a great photo and I'm not super happy with how it turned out, so I'll probably end up reprinting it some time in the future. "Bleach" Two color linocut on stained paper

I start to get over my phobias: This is the first page I have inked with a brush rather than pens and it's the first page I have coloured for a long time. Ruins by liam, on Flickr The joke's ok too.
