The Marvel UK thread in the Classic Comics section got me wondering where everyone is from. I believe we had a thread like this at the old place, but I couldn't find one here. In addition to commenting, I created a Google Map that you can edit and provide your location on. I STRONGLY recommend choosing the nearest city and NOT your home address. That can get complicated. Are you looking for where we're originally from or where we are now? Because I've lived in several different states.

Dear All,
I live in the Greater Seattle/Everett Area pretty much since I was born in 1959. I also spent nearly 2.5 years of my life in Victoria/Vancouver Canada seeing old friends up there and I did a lot of traveling between the two cities Seattle/Victoria for business and personal and was a dual citizen for many years until I dropped by Citizenship in Canada in 2009. Most of my friends in Canada were generated during my College Years from 1978 to 1982. I also spent a summer in Banff National Park (Alberta) in 1982 helping a friend get started in the Hotel Business and I did a lot of odd jobs during that Summer. His Hotel was situated on Lake Louise a very picturesque and gorgeous scenery.

Born and raised here in beautiful Tacoma, Washington, "armpit of the Pacific Northwest," schooled in Seattle (go, Dawgs!), moved around a lot for a few years (Gig Harbor, Lakewood, Tacoma, Lynnwood, Renton, Seattle, Tacoma, Tumwater, Olympia, Burbank CA, Gig Harbor, Olympia), been back in Tacoma since February '99 and glad to be here.

I grew up in country Victoria in Australia (a place called Glengarry, just outside of Traralgon; not that I expect anyone to have heard of either of those places). For the last 24 years, I've been living in Canberra, Australia's capital city.

Started out in south-western Michigan, halfway between Grand Rapids & Battle Creek. Moved to Central Florida as a pre-teen, then briefly back to Michigan before joining the Navy and going to San Diego, CA, Charleston, SC, & Newport, RI. Got married and followed her home to just outside Milwaukee, WI, and been here ever since.
