I will agree that the big two have their better days behind them. There are some new independent books that are enjoyable.

I got pretty triggered in a fandom discussion elsewhere yesterday. I had raised a question about why a character had taken a certain action, described it as 'out of character,' and then provided my own explanation for why it actually makes sense. Then someone responded that it was not out of character - for the character to do something in a later scene which I had not talked about. So I responded that I was not talking about that but an earlier action. Then someone else comes in with the same response as the last guy, not responding to my point but trying to refute a point I didn't make about another scene I had already said I wasn't talking about. At this point I'm upset, because either these people have no reading comprehension skills whatsoever, or they only read the words 'out of character' and didn't read a single other word I wrote. It's hard to have a reasonable discussion when people insist on telling you you're wrong about a scene you weren't even talking about and completely ignoring the point you were actually making.

It's not easy to post on the net. There are lots of trolls and even if they don't mean to be nasty, sometimes we can take what's said as a personal insult. It's okay if someone disagrees with you. It doesn't make you less of a person or shouldn't offend you.

One shouldn't have to wear Iron Man's armor to protect yourself on the internet and all should be open to discussions knowing that there is no one true right or wrong OPINION. My idea's, my thoughts, my opinions, my choices are all just that, mine alone. I don't expect others to believe as I believe and I don't try to offend with my interactions and I want to hear other's thoughts and suggestions and in doing so I continue to learn and grow as a person and as an individual.

Some people online are so intolerant that they don't even like green space-rabbits. How can anyone not like green space-rabbits?! They're so delicious when stewed with carrots, potatoes and a dash of oregano...

A gentle answer turns away wrath.

Getting a " like" on your cover contest entry is the same as getting the kiss of death. You won't get that vote.
There I said it.

Here’s a “There. I said it.” to divert any bad feelings all towards me: Comics are only getting better, and anyone sticking to only our nostalgic books of old is really missing out. There are many great comics being done. Very few at the Big Two and involve the old heroes.

Lots of attention with little to no real meaning or reward. P.S. If you are practicing safe distancing (as you should be) at the moment that Kiss of Death is harder to receive

Getting a " like" on your cover contest entry is the same as getting the kiss of death. You won't get that vote. There I said it. So true! There have been weeks I've gotten 6-8 Likes on my cover, then wound up with zero votes. I think it's like my daughter with her Instagram account. I've watched her scroll through her feed indiscriminately "liking" every post without looking at it for more than 1 second. When I asked her why she "likes" everything, she said she didn't want the posters to feel bad if they didn't get enough "likes".

The fact that Comico's Jonny Quest hasn't been reprinted is ridiculous.
There! I said it.
