The annual Jet City Comic Show is next weekend at the Tacoma Convention Center. This is exactly the kind of small scale, comics-oriented event I love and this year it's two days. I'll be there most of the day Saturday. If anyone else is going, make sure you stop me and give me a big CCF hello (I'll be the white-beared fellow in the electric wheelchair). See you there! Cei-U! I'm embarrassed to admit I've never heard the nickname "Jet City" before...

Well, technically it's Seattle's nickname (or was in the '60s when Boeing was king). The Comic Show was originally held in Seattle but moved south to Tacoma in '13 because they could rent a bigger venue for less $.

I'm embarrassed to admit I've never heard the nickname "Jet City" before... You weren't a Queensrÿche fan, eh? Not that you should have been. But Jet City Woman was pretty big on MTV at the time. Back when they actually played music. I'm old. |

Not as popular by any means, but was pretty big on MTV. |
