Announcement from the Grand Comics Database (http://www.comics.org/): ________________________________________________________________
Manage your comics at my.comics.org
We are very happy to announce the opening of the my.comics.org subsite for general usage. This subsite introduces a comic collection functionality to our website and is of course based on our extensive database of international comics. Please note that my.comics.org is still in development and there are known useful features that are still to be implemented, although the essential collection functionality is available. Discussion about additional features and bug reports takes place on the gcd-main mailing list, feel free to chime in there, contact us by e-mail or even actively help us in the further development.
To switch to the collection functionality either go directly to my.comics.org or look for a link on the right side on series and issue pages.
Have fun with our exciting new feature! ________________________________________________________________
A couple of volunteer programmers have been working on this for several years. Give it a look and let us know what you think!

I noticed that yesterday. Kind of like a shashmycomics.com cataloging functionality. It certainly makes sense, given what an incrediblly complete resource the GCD is.

Sounds good. I registered. Hopefully in a month or two, I'll be able to start adding it.
I had used stashmycomics many years ago, but seem to have lost my account somehow.

I have begun! Because it's a holiday. Made it through one row of boxes in about 2 hours. Only 29 more rows to go. And then all the bookshelves. And then other boxes lying around... What's annoying is that I'm missing things. Some things I thought I had but maybe never did. Like Avengers #53. It's clearly not in the box between 52 and 54. I know I've read it. But I may have read it in Essential. I thought I had it. Other stuff is really just missing. Like Avengers Spotlight #37. I know that comic. I got it as a young child. Read it many times. Secret origin of Dr. Druid. But it's not in the box between 36 and 38. So either it got lost sometime in the last 25 years or it's out of order in one of the other boxes. Which is as good as lost. Here's what I have so far for those curious. Got through all main Marvel Universe comics that begin with the letters A and B. To save time and get a draft, I'm not worrying about condition, variant covers, direct vs newsstand editions, etc. I'll correct all that later. my.comics.org/collection/15036/

6 weeks later, thanks to another holiday weekend. I'm basically done with my Marvel regular-sized comics. I'll finish up the Marvel odds and ends.
And may take a break for a while before hitting DC. I think the Marvel books are about half my collection.
I'm keeping track of anything the GCD doesn't have indexed. I hope to contribute some of their missing indexing.
