There's no hyperbole at all to say that Adam West and Batman changed the course of my life. It's very possible that I wouldn't be here without reruns of the television show, which I watched religiously as a child. Batman was the reason I started buying my own comics. The fact that he later embraced the role when he could have become bitter over the typecasting was testament to his strength of character. And his ability to poke fun at himself in The Fairly Oddparents and Family Guy clearly spoke to his sense of humor.
He's lived in Sun Valley, Idaho for a number of years. I've never met him (though a good friend who lives there talked to him a few weeks ago) but I've seen him around a number of times.
Just watched "Beware the Gray Ghost" with my youngest son. Almost a perfect episode of Batman Animated.
R.I.P. Adam West. Thank you for so many years of entertainment.

A tireless talent in an often thankless job, Adam West endured unimaginable derision on the back of scant praise for his work that inspired a generation to fasten their Bat-belts and Bat-Usi their way into the popular culture. We'll not see his like again.

Thanks to everyone that shared the legacy of Adam West's Batman. I've really mean it and he made Batman fun and according to my research in the internet that this show saved Batman Comic Book from cancellation by DC Comics.

I went on a cruise with my wife & purposely stayed out of touch. Did not purchase WiFi. Yes we had a great time...
Got home today & read this. Another part of my childhood is now gone. RIP Adam West. You provided me with many fond memories. Along with my Dad you are responsible for getting me into this hobby.

Some of my Favorite Pictures of Adam West I'm still in shock over this! Thank God I got the DVD box set before he died. He was "The Batman" as far as I'm concerned! I guess now the second Batman animated DVD movie is off now. At least "Return Of The Caped Crusaders" was his last gift to us. R.I.P. Adam!

Here is something you guys might enjoy. Before Adam had to work with Joker, Penguin, and Riddler, he had to work with 3 characters who are almost as crazy as them. "Moe, Larry, and Curly Joe." LOL
This film is called "The Outlaws Is Coming" Starring Adam West with the three Stoogies.
Enjoy!

and I posted this before in another thread but I think more then ever this is the right place to show this again.
If you mised it before this is a clip of the Milton Berle Show where he does a skit with both Batman (Adam West) & The Green Hornet (Van Williams) and Kato (Bruce Lee).
Enjoy!

One last turn as Batman and opposite The Shat nonetheless!
