F@#$ 2016! I've had it! Bernard Fox was a national treasure for two nations; but, especially America. He was our fantasy of the English gentleman, wot? Just a bally good comedic actor, don't you know, who livened up many a fine programme. Jolly good; I say jolly good show, sir! Have a well deserved cuppa with St Peter, there's a good chap!
Not just dr Bombay; he was Malcolm merriweather on The Andy griffith Show, Col. Crittendon, on Hogan's Heroes, and made appearances in the Dick Van Dyke Show, MASH, The Man from UNCLE, The Wild, Wild West, the Flintstones, The Monkees, The Partridge Family, Columbo, and such movies as The Longest Day ("I don't think Old Churchill trusts us!"), The Mummy, and A Night to Remember. He also appeared in the seminal British police series Dixon of Dock Green.
The ironic thing was that this stereotypical Englishman, was Welsh.

I saw someone on my Facebook posting a link to an article about Gabor's passing, and he was saying, "Man, 2016 strikes again!" She was 99 years old, for crying out loud!! News flash, really old people tend to die. |

George Michael dead at 53.
He passed peacefully at his home.
Police say nothing nefarious was involved.

More details to come. he was hospitalized for Pnemonia back in 2011, all the reports on his passing are pointing out. which makes me think HiV/AIDS related. . . 53 is way to young to go tho, so something terminal was involved here, especially since they are saying nothing nefarious involved. a shame, tho I wasn't really a fan of his music, he was certainly talented. |
