R.I.P. Steve Dillon, co-creator of Preacher. Damn. Cancer? The cause of death hasn't been disclosed.

First saw his work when Eclipse was reprinting Laser Eraser and Pressbutton. 54 is way to young, speaking as someone who hits 50, in 3 weeks.

For real !
Just turned 50 last month. Can't believe he died so suddenly. Eager to hear what the cause was.
His work certainly was impressive. Preacher will be his trademark legacy.
Truly sorry to hear of his passing.

So is Punisher #7 the last of Dillon's work?
If so, I could see it being VERY sought after.
I've actually been pleasantly surprised with the new series so far. Kind of a slightly toned down (though clearly not as good) version of Ennis' Punisher MAX.

R.I.P. Steve Dillon, co-creator of Preacher. Damn. Oh, no... I'm indebted to him for so many hours of pure reading pleasure. And at such a young age too? Truly terrible news.

I was absolutely gutted when I read the news. Dillon's been such a huge part of this hobby for me for almost 20 years now. Losses like this are immeasurable.

Even though I've grown tired of his (and Ennis) interpretation of Punisher, this is damn sad. A truly talented individual. I appreciated and enjoyed his talent and work. Prayers to his friends and family and may he rest in piece.

Ok, so this morning they're saying he appendix burst.
I nearly had that happen once. His brother was saying he thought it was food poisioning. Maybe he was thinking he'd just ride it out.

Sad to hear about Dillon's passing. First found him in 2000 AD and enjoyed so much of his creation's. Can't forget to mention other's of his that i enjoyed: Rogue Trooper, Judge Dredd, Abslom Daak, Punisher and so many others. He will be missed

Apparently, Jack Chick died yesterday at age 92. He was sort of the Stan Lee of, uh, ultra-rightist arch-conversative sleaze in the form of what amounted to mini-comics.
