About a million years ago, I entertained the notion of becoming an artist for comic books. But the lack of motivation ( and maybe lack of talent) prevented me from realizing it. This thread is to post some of your drawings , sketches etc. Don't be shy, post it if you got it.
I haven't drawn anything in years but this is from a sketch book from the 80's.
I don't know how "frustrated" I'd consider myself but I definitely suffer from a lack of motivation. These past few months I have been more motivated to draw though and upload new pieces to my deviantART gallery every week or so. (For those interested there's a link on my profile page.) I'm currently working on this Yvonne Craig Batgirl piece.
These are a couple of things I was fooling around with for a fan fic site run by a friend of mine. One was a mock cover for a title I was playing with some ideas for but never actually got started, and the other was more of a feeling out sketch for something I was playing with in my head...
People don't want the Truth. They want only information that supports what they think they already know. -Vess from Invisible Kingdom
I see a comics culture that preserves and appreciates its past, but doesn't wallow in witless nostalgia. -Scott McCloud
Humans beings always do the most intelligent thing…after they’ve tried every stupid alternative and none of them have worked -Buckminster Fuller
I haven't tried drawing much since I was a kid but from time to time I think of taking it up as a hobby. Anyone know of any good online courses or drawing lessons they recommend? Or cheap instruction books or anything like that?
I'm a frustrated writer more than a frustrated artist. I've developed some concepts that I still think were pretty darn cool in hindsight, but I never did much with them. Maybe I'll post some of my concepts/scripts here at some later point if I can find the time.

Apart from the copy of the Chris Achilleos Indian Woman, they're all me. I hope the generic art is okay, have just presumed you didnt mean solely comicbook art. I would love to have been that good, however I learned a long time ago youhave to be dedicated and work hard tro get into the business, and I was always just too lazy.
It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours. It was the year of rebirth… the year of great sadness… the year of pain… and the year of joy. It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed.
