I'm Michael24, same as I was on the CBR forums. Even though I didn't post much in the Classic Comics section there, because my knowledge is otherwise pretty limited, I enjoyed lurking and reading up on things.

Of course you're welcome! A lot of posters here have known each other for a long time, have in-jokes, and so on, and I understand that that can make the community feel a bit insular, but people have always been welcoming to new blood. For example, Pharazonk just started posting really recently, I think, but as far as I'm concerned, he's become a part of the community. Who? |

I'm Richard, or Fenris in CBR-speak. I go back a long way on the boards, but I haven't actually been to CBR for a long time.

I do like some Eagles songs, but I am firmly pro-Krypto and hopefully that makes up for it.

I've got "read 'em then" memories dating back nearly 5 decades, and "bought 'em new" memories going back more than 4. My box of new, unread comics continues to overflow, as I find pre-1995 comics far more compelling. Favorites include Lee-Kirby Fantastic Four, Lee-Kirby Thor, O'Neil Batman, Goodwin-Simonson Manhunter, Roy Thomas Conan, Claremont-Byrne X-Men, Miller Daredevil, Talbot Heart of Empire, and oh! so many others.
Hmp. Is there a way to italicize here?

I'm Laura aka Puma. Joined CBR in 1998 where I mainly stayed on the X Board until the Great Flame War and I ended up on the Comm. I've read comics off and on since I was a kid. Of classic comics I don't collect (except for a few trades) but I enjoy EC.

Hmp. Is there a way to italicize here? Yep. It's the "I" button next to the bolded "B" button. Click it on to italicize and off to go back to normal copy. |

Yeah. If you use "reply" rather than "quick reply," you get the full menu of typographical options at the top of your post that CBR offered. And if you go with "quick reply," I'm pretty sure you can italicize by using bracket-I at the beginning of what you're emphasizing & then bracket-slash-I at the end.

Hi all (new friends and old)
I'm keeping the handle I used on CBR (and various other sites). I'm a 44 year old Australian who's real name is Eric and whose main claim to fame is that I once appeared on national quiz show with the specialist topic of Batman comics.
