Another week on the current eating/exercise program and another week of success, as I'm down another 2 lbs this week.
January 22, 2016 - 224 January 29, 2016 - 222 February 5, 2016 - 220 February 12, 2016- 218
Actually didn't exercise much this week, as I strained my hamstring at the gym last weekend and spent a few days hobbling around waiting for it to loosen up. Getting old is certainly no fun, but it beats the alternative.

tough week, with Valentine's Day in there (so although no real "cheats". . .other than a piece of chocolate fudge/ancho chili pie!).. we did eat out several times over the past week.
I was surprised to see that I'm still dropping weight despite that, but i suppose it's because I'm continuing my walks (still 4x per week, 50 minutes each time, + the nightly 15 minute walk w/ the dog), as well as keeping my metabolism up by eating every couple of hours (9am-8pm).
here's this week's results!
9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# 12/31: 206.2# 1/05/16: 205.2# 1/10/16: 201.6# 1/17/16: 197.8# 1/22/16: 195.8# 1/27/16: 194.8# 2/2/16: 190.8# 2/9/16: 191.8# 2/17/16: 189.2# -- total loss 55.6lbs.

Bert, you are a weight-loss machine! At the moment, I'm sort-of plateaued / sort-of banging on the door of a non-IBS low - 171.6 today, down 48.4. Keep approaching those false lows, then retreating again. Really need to crank up the exercise, but still dragged down by this ever-lasting cold/cough - maybe next week...

New low today, and through a milestone but it's all really anticlimactic.
I was creeping up on a "real" 50 pound loss mark, with less than ½ pound to go, then hit another spate of GI upheavel. So now I'm down to 168.4, which is 51.6 pounds down, but after losing 3 pounds in 3 days, I'm expecting to bounce up again over the next couple of days.

I'm still dropping weight, and although I FEEL like I'm pigging out, I guess I'm eating only healthy stuff as I'm stress eating?
but very close to my ultimate goal at this point:
9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# 12/31: 206.2# 1/05/16: 205.2# 1/10/16: 201.6# 1/17/16: 197.8# 1/22/16: 195.8# 1/27/16: 194.8# 2/2/16: 190.8# 2/9/16: 191.8# 2/17/16: 189.2# 2/24/16: 186.6# -- total loss 58.2 lbs.

It's a digit day, and this time not courtesy of gut rot: started the day at 169.6, finally through the 50 pound mark with a real weight.
Getting really close to my target now - another 5 or 6 pounds should leave me with completely flat abs, which will be a great start point for a long-overdue bulking up

Slowed way down, but at least I haven't gained after a weekend of cheating (due to stress and commitments, I ate out on Thurs, Fri, Sat, AND Sunday. .and didn't really stick to healthy either ). Was *terrified* to get on the scale today, absolutely certain I'd gained. but it was a weigh day, so I did. At least still headed the right direction! 9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# 12/31: 206.2# 1/05/16: 205.2# 1/10/16: 201.6# 1/17/16: 197.8# 1/22/16: 195.8# 1/27/16: 194.8# 2/2/16: 190.8# 2/9/16: 191.8# 2/17/16: 189.2# 2/24/16: 186.6# 3/2/16: 185.6# -- total loss 59.2 lbs.

I will be back in March ... I will be walking a lot during the Spring & Summer Months and I would like to lose another 20-30 pounds if I can.

Still struggling to shift any more weight, but: - Yesterday I finally had a gym session, with 45 minutes on the exercise bike
- Today, I bought some new clothes to replace the current ones which fit me like sacks: trousers now a comfortable 32" waist (from an original expandable 38" + overhang), shirts a tailored Medium down from loose L / XL
- Later today I will retire another set of trousers - 34" waist are now just too baggy

Update on the 3rd point above: I tried on, and subsequently retired, a total of 13 pairs of trousers, including all of those I had been saving until I was thin enough to fit them again - all of them are now too loose Included in that 13 pairs were some dating back to the 90s, which is when they last fitted me - in fairness, I'm glad they don't fit as (even with my barely-extant fashion sense) I can tell that they're wildly unfashionable (pleats and turn-ups - Just Say No!)

Finally a new low, all without illness boost, and it's a biggie (in Brit counting at least). As of today, I am 167.6 pounds (down 52.4), which is 11 stones, 13.6 pounds - and it's been a looooong time since there was an 11 at the start of my weight.
Slightly annoyingly, people who are noticing my weight are mostly saying I've lost too much and don't lose any more - but %%$$% them! I reckon I've got another 3 or 4 pounds to go, which will make an even 4 stones (56 pounds) lost, before my weight hopefully starts to come up a bit through adding some muscle bulk.

Weighed myself today, and again, stress at work is killing me, and I thought for sure I gained. but I suppose keeping up the walking, helped, and I've actually hit my stretch goal!
9/20: 244.8# 9/23: 244.8# 9/27: 246.2# 10/4: 244.4# 10/8: 242.6# 10/14: 241.0# 10/24: 235.2# 10/28: 232.8# 10/31: 231.6# 11/5: 228.8# 11/11: 228.6# 11/15: 225.4# 11/19: 223.2# 11/26: 220.8# 12/2: 216.8# 12/8: 215.2# 12/16: 211.6# 12/23: 208.0# 12/31: 206.2# 1/05/16: 205.2# 1/10/16: 201.6# 1/17/16: 197.8# 1/22/16: 195.8# 1/27/16: 194.8# 2/2/16: 190.8# 2/9/16: 191.8# 2/17/16: 189.2# 2/24/16: 186.6# 3/2/16: 185.6# 3/8/16: 184.4# -- total loss 60.4 lbs.
I'll probably stick to my 4x per week walks thru end of March, and then relax a bit and shift into Maintain mode.
this thread has helped me a LOT, even if it has gotten way more quiet than it was.

That's a phenomenal achievement Bert - you should be really proud of that. Just... now you're got where you want to be, don't give it back!
