I'm holding at around 198. Not really dieting, but I'm taking my food to work and avoiding fast food altogether. I also do intermittently fasting. I'l eat my last meal around 7 and my first meal around 10 am. That's 15 hours of no food. It helps burn fat. I'm drinking just water , with some coffee in the morning.

I pulled out the old measuring tape this morning because of encouragement from this thread, but I'm curious about the best way to measure my waist circumference. Currently I'm about 48 inches around, with the tape level with my belly button. Am I doing that correctly? Really would like to lose 20 lbs over the course of the summer but with all these holidays and parties is been tough.

most days this week involved eating leftovers from going out to dinner, or actually going out to dinner.
for example, my Fajita dinner on Sunday, lasted me thru Monday/Tues/Wed lunch too. . . so even tho not eating "great", at least I'm only eating a portion of my restaurant meal (tho it would be best if I DIDN'T eat out).
I *did* continue to exercise daily, and at least trending in the correct direction. . but would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that in 8 days, only dropped 1 lb.
but at least I'm at 20lbs lost exactly, and going in the correct direction:
so: started back on plan on 4/1 at 218 lbs 1st check in was on 4/14 at 211.6 lbs 2nd check in was on 4/22 at 208.2 lbs 3rd check in was on 4/28 at 206.2 lbs 4th check in was on 5/10 at 201.8 lbs. 5th check in was on 5/18: 199.2 lbs.
and today, 5/26: 198 lbs.
that's my status. bert

This is pretty much where I’m at. 185 maintaining and while not dieting I pretty much only eat one meal a day and supplemt throughout with snacks like nuts, granola and beef jerky. It’s probably why I’ve maintained my weight despite eating one carb filled meal a day.

Shopped carefully so that the family and I could indulge in relatively healthy eating that felt great. I definitely had a few too many turkey dogs but generally felt I didn't overdo things too much and (most importantly) the things I ate generally felt GOOD. So I'm up 2 lbs as a result. It'll be gone in a day or so. Granted, I haven't lost any net weight in two weeks now, but I know my eating and cravings have gotten far healthier. I truly have created a new lifestyle for myself, and I truly believe the weight will continue to gradually slip off as a result. But, if it doesn't, I can always get a little more spartan about it. For now, I can truly feel that my belly is 4" slimmer than when I started, I like the progress I've made on the scale, and I generally feel healthier than I did before. I'm willing to bet I've added several years to my life by fundamentally changing what I crave and eat. If I can hold to this (and, a month and a half in, it's still not requiring any effort at all to do so), then I've accomplished something huge. Oh, and my food bill has gotten crazy smaller too. This has been a win on every possible level. So I can deal with being stuck at the 258-260 mark for now

It's realistic to accept that almost everyone in existence will over indulge on a holiday weekend that involves BBQ. I was 201 yesterday and was 200 this morning.

Today was a really weird day, so I ate very very very badly. I mean supremely badly. And I still kept the weight off, somehow. Man, if I can continue to lose a single pound every two weeks, that's not a bad deal.

we went to Alamo Drafthouse to see Godzilla today, and even tho I did do a 40 minute walk before we went?
I still ate not great today too.
was disappointed that I weighed myself this morning, and came in at 197.8 -- so in a week, I lost .2 lbs, even with exercising EVERY day and eating well all week.
so yeah, was feeling down, so ate not so great. (tho I did swap out the fries for fruit, but the bun on the grilled chicken wasn't good, nor was the fried cauliflower. . . nor the salted caramel milkshake).
oh well. . . coulda been worse, i suppose.
now out of May tho, I'm done exercising every day, and will go into every other day.

Constantly fighting to stay on diet, but life keeps intervening. Just found out I have to fast for all of tomorrow morning ahead of a routine blood test, so that means I can't be on diet tonight or I will be incoherent by tomorrow afternoon. I'm still holding at my 257 lbs, fortunately, but I haven't gotten any lower over the past two weeks.

I've been on vaca since last Thursday in Maine and am eating and drinking anything. I'm afraid to step on the scale tomorrow when I get home.
