I really think I need to get myself a ton of dried prunes, as these night-time readings are getting less and less reliable, and I would really rather measure and take stock of the day at the end instead of the beginning.
I definitely ate a lot more than usual today (Amber and I attended an Asian cultural festival and absolutely felt the need to get into the cuisine!), but it was mostly pretty healthy stuff AND I got in more walking today than I've done in ages thanks to the nice weather, so I'm not reading into the weight at all. Gonna get prunes asap and (hopefully) watch the weight readings get a lot more reliable.

I am definitely losing motivation. Between the weight gain last week (I'm starting to think it's muscle from all that walking I did), the end of the school year, allergy season, and the weather going through all four seasons in the past three days, I'm just not feeling well, and that makes me want to eat to feel better. I'm still sticking to the diet with no problem. As I've said all along, I LOVE my diet food, and that makes this all easier. But I'm also cheating liberally on top of it, and that's going to make it really hard to see any progress. Problem is, I don't really care right now.
I don't want to push myself. I don't want this diet to be WORK this time around. Diets like that fall apart as soon as you get tired of pushing. This is still comfortable. If I can tread water for now, so to speak, I can get back to actual losing when the sun comes out reliably and I feel a little more spring in my step.

Hang in there, shax. Just start doing what you’ve done so far. If you’re hungry, eat more good food. Drink lots of water.

Natural sugar doesn't tend to get me into trouble. Processed sugar, on the other hand...

Baby steps. Baby steps. Honestly, I wasn't great with my diet again today. I was doing GREAT, and then my school was having an awards luncheon for our highest achieving students. A senior of mine told me he hadn't gotten a chance to get his lunch and asked to leave class to do so. When he came back, he reminded me it was Ramadan and he was fasting. He had gone to the luncheon, gone through that long line, and walked an entire plate of food back to the room WHILE FASTING in order to give it to me.
I was so honored.
I tried to give it away after, but all the other teachers had already gotten food from the luncheon. And I didn't feel right throwing it out. So I ate it. And, of course, that led to more cravings. I ended up eating a lot I shouldn't have today, but the good news is my dried prunes finally arrived in the mail, so I went to town on those and, well, here I am a pound lighter.
Mixed day. Still lacking the total commitment to be great at this right now, but I still love my base diet, and that's why this thing is going to go the distance.

Well, at least I'm consistent for once. I always knew the weight loss was going to slow down around 20 lbs in, but those wild fluctuations had me down. Here's hoping I'm in for stable but slower loss from now on.

Just Curious shaxper, have you weighed yourself in the morning to see if the numbers are similar to the evening before?

Just Curious shaxper, have you weighed yourself in the morning to see if the numbers are similar to the evening before? Yeah, it's usually about a half a pound difference. Nothing too significant.

Nice and slow progression and doing remarkably well ... excellent focusing and staying on course. Thank you, sir! I owe it all to the diet. Since I find the food so appealing and satisfying, it's really really easy to stay on course.

Weight's not improving much, but I'm getting fitter - just finished my 3rd commute day of the week, for ~90 miles ridden. Not eath shattering, but it's my best week in 9 pretty fallow months, and I feel like my legs are getting stronger.
