Holy shit! This seems huge. Mueller complained that Barr’s letter did not capture ‘context’ of Trump probeEmphasis mine. This is first time Mueller himself has said anything on the report's release. This is MASSIVE. It goes further into saying that Mueller's letter and a subsequent phone call to Barr predate Barr's testimony to Congress that he did not know whether Mueller approved of his summary. That is flirting dangerously close with perjury. I will be highly surprised if this is not an escalation point of everything. Two pumps or three on your popcorn folks?

If you were watching the Barr hearing and playing a drinking game that called for you to down a shot at every mention of the names "Clinton" and "Obama," you'd have already been taken to the ER suffering from alcohol poisoning.

You'd have a good buzz if you took a shot every time Barr said something contradicted by the Mueller report directly, too. Barr also literally just argued it's not obstruction for the president to try to remove the special counsel if he was not guilty of the crime they were investigating. Unbelievable and untrue.

Subtitles for this hearing should have been provided by George Orwell. Or Kafka.

That can’t be right. I saw a meme saying the Mueller Report exonerates President Trump and says it was all the Democrats’ fault. No details were provided but they seemed so sincere!

That was disgusting and sleezy to watch. This is so typical I am not even surprised anymore, but so gross to see an AG so blatantly obviously shilling for the president.

I've kind of been at a 'wake me when they are leading the crook and his sub-crooks off in handcuffs' phase. I soooooo hope you/we get there, it's simply what needs to happen if there is any reality or sanity anymore. Kamala Harris asked some smart questions of someone trying to be dumb. I'm thankful there are some people who will play it straight and try and get the job done. I just want the law applied fairly and it's been long overdue for Trump, before he even ran for President which the Republicans in sheer weakness allowed out of pure fear and fanaticism. Awful times for their party and some still keep digging the grave further like 'laughable' Lindsey Graham (how's that for branding?)

So Mnuchin is playing games and blocking/refusing to comply with Congress' legal request to turn over Trump's taxes for oversight purposes.
Congress is a co-equal branch of government, and they have the legal authority to request the taxes.
Find the guy in contempt of congress already, and toss his ass in jail.

I don't think you can get really get jail time for Contempt of Congress. It's been a while(so I could be wrong) but if I remember my civics lessons correctly, in the modern era the procedure is to relate the Contempt of Congress charge to the Justice Department who would then file a civil case in court against said person and if they failed to comply then it would be contempt of court and thus jail time...which means in this case it would never happen as the Attorney General is firmly in Trump's pocket so I can't see him really rushing to assist Congress in pursuing the charge.

The House retains its inherent contempt power. They can have the House Sergeant-at-Arms place the individual under arrest and bring them before them to answer charges. It hasn’t been used since 1935, but the power was upheld in Jurney v. MacCracken, 294 U.S. 125 (1935).

Oh yes, it's getting pretty hairy now. If the entry wound was bad how much worse an exit wound? I think they could find a live stream of Trump literally in bed with Comrade Putin and Chairman Kim and there'd still be people saying thank God Hilary didn't win with those terrible couple of emails about her own phone calls someone could've gotten.

If the rule of law is not dead in this country, I suspect this is where things are headed assuming the Democrats in the house aren't too afraid of their own shadows to use it. If they are being denied and ignored at every single other possible route, they may as well as they have nothing to lose.
