White people aren't all evil, or rich - but white people have some automatic advantages in American society. Not because of conscious, malevolent racism, just because there are so many of us who have been here so long that whiteness seems like the normal default and non-whiteness seems deviant. All white people in the US benefit from this to some degree; some of us know it and some don't. Returning to this for a moment, a professional basketball player named Kyle Korver has written something good: www.theplayerstribune.com/en-us/articles/kyle-korver-utah-jazz-nba

4 key takeaways from William Barr's testimony on the Mueller report
Well, there you go. This certainly is not looking food. The only glimmer of hope is the bold, but that is sufficiently open-ended and vague that I wouldn't trust it. Time to see if Nadler has the testicular fortitude to follow through on the subpoena they get approved, and we will have nail-biting news for the foreseeable future.

Barr acts as if he's the defense lawyer for the "president."
This is what autocracy looks like...

What a depressing and demoralizing day. I hope the Dems ramp up that subpoena power and actually use it. I did see they are now formally requesting Mueller's testimony, and Cohen is offering to fill in most of the blanks on the redactions. The circus continues unabated.

that Barr press conference was absolutely shameful.
a bad day for the Justice System in the United States, that the AG, is acting as a personal Lawyer for the President.
and *hugely* disappointed with Rosenstein standing behind him giving his approval to this dismantling of Democracy.

Rosenstein looked like he was auditioning for a part in The Walking Dead.

Seth Abramson is doing a live read through and analysis of the report on Twitter specifically focusing on new revelations. It is INCREDIBLY damning and this is what they cleared for release! I cannot even imagine what is redacted or still under investigation/passed to other offices. (MUELLER REPORT LIVE THREAD)

From the estimable Barbara Jordan, 1974...
"James Madison again at the Constitutional Convention: 'A President is impeachable if he attempts to subvert the Constitution.' The Constitution charges the President with the task of taking care that the laws be faithfully executed, and yet the President has counseled his aides to commit perjury, willfully disregard the secrecy of grand jury proceedings, conceal surreptitious entry, attempt to compromise a federal judge, while publicly displaying his cooperation with the processes of criminal justice."
Just sayin'.
Oh, and Sarah Huckabee Sanders admits she lied to the nation:
Remember when she claimed that "countless" FBI agents had reached out to the administration to tell Herr Trumpenfuehrer about how delighted they were that Comey had been fired b/c morale was so bad at the FBI? Naturally, this was of some interest to Mueller and his team, so they invited SHS in for a little chat, under oath this time. They asked her about this particular story, and this is what the report says was the answer to that question.
Under oath in front of the Mueller investigators, Sanders said that her comments were not founded on anything.
Kinda like the rest of this alleged administration.

“If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that this woman is not pregnant, we would so state,” the doctor wrote. “Based on the facts and the applicable medical standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment."

This report is incredibly damning to anyone who reads it in good faith and who has sufficient brain function to understand. It's a long read also, but Abramson's blow by blow is really illuminating.
