EPILOGUE ONE:
Jerrica Trevor waited for her husband. She was dressed in a simple black sheath dress, her light blonde hair pulled back into a pony-tail. Pearl earrings and a necklace finished her look.
“Scott, hurry up! We’ll be late!” She shouted to her husband who was checking himself out in a custom Armani suit.
Scott and Jerrica said goodbye to their son. Jerrica noticed Scott hugging him a bit tighter than usual. Within a few moments, the couple left. Jerrica’s sister Kimber was happy to baby-sit for them, although she was saddened about their friends’ deaths.
“I can’t imagine what Dick Grayson must be going through…..to lose a son…” Scott said.
“I know. I can’t imagine anything like that happening to Steven. I still can’t believe Brendon and Brenda are gone. The Stranger too. I never really knew him. I heard there were no bodies except Brenda’s. Do you think they somehow survived?” Jerrica asked, as she clasped hands with her husband.
“I don’t know. From what my sister told me, Brendon was messed up pretty bad. No way he could have survived. Not sure about the Stranger. You know, days like these make me glad we left all that behind. I mean, Knightvision was one of the original Titans. Now he’s gone along with the woman he loved. Jerrica, if anything--”
“Shhhh. Don’t even go there. You and I are happily retired. Now come on, let’s go to the memorial service.”
The Trevors soon arrived at the memorial service. Jerrica surveyed the crowd. It was a veritable who’s who of the super hero community. She noticed Clark and Lois Kent, sitting near Bruce and Selina Wayne. Scott saw his mother and father, Steve and Diana Trevor and his aunt, Donna Troy. He hugged them all. Jerrica saw Helena Wayne.
“Helena, I don’t know what to say. How is your family holding up?” Jerrica quietly asked.
“Not good.” Helena replied. Jerrica noticed how swollen her eyes were. She looked as though she had not slept and spent the last several days crying. “Barbara doesn’t believe he’s gone. Dick has been very quiet. I think he’s in shock. Oh Jerrica, I….they pressed me for details…I had to tell them what the Legion did…how they---” with that, Helena erupted into sobs. Jerrica hugged her. Bruce Wayne approached and escorted his daughter to a seat.
Sargona and Black Vulcan approached Jerrica. The three old friends hugged and chatted.
“It’s awful the way Bruce Wayne had to fake Brendon’s death.” Black Vulcan said.
“Yes, he had one of his planes crashed. Told the press that Brendon and Brenda were on it so no one would get suspicious.” Black Vulcan added.
“How are they going to explain Knightvision and Batgirl’s absence from the Titans?” Jerrica asked.
“Simple.” Nucleus added as he approached the ladies. “members come and go all the time. They simply resigned.”
“It all sounds so awful.” Sargona said. “Faking deaths, missing bodies at a memorial service. And the Stranger…..his wife is an emotional wreck.”
Scott Trevor chatted with his mother.
“As proud of your sister that I am, Scott, I am terrified for her. I heard the Cheetah is back. More deranged than ever. She saw the horrors that the Legion inflicted on your friends.” Diana said.
“She’ll be ok, Mom. She is way more cut out for this than I ever was. She is the true warrior.” Scott replied.
Mindy Trevor was talking to Vince Starr.
“Vince, how are you doing?” she asked.
“I’m ok. Thank Krypton Illumina was able to perform surgery on my shoulder. If not for her expertise and solar powers, I think I would have been a goner.”
Storm Surge arrived with his parents, Arthur and Mera Curry. The Currys walked over to chat with the Trevors, Waynes, and Kents. Right behind them were Oliver and Dinah Queen, along with Sonic Boom and Dark Arrow. Storm Surge sat next to Corporal Marvel and Apothesis.
“I still can’t believe this.” Storm Surge said.
“Me too. I wasn’t expecting something so….gruesome.” Corporal Marvel replied.
“It’s almost like this really drives it home, you know? How dangerous it all is.” Apothesis replied.
Apothesis noticed a large group of people coming in.
“Guys! Look! It’s the original Teen Titans!” Corporal Marvel said, his eyes wide.
Donna Troy greeted her old teammates. She led them to Dick and Barbara Grayson. Within seconds the grieving couple were being hugged and consoled by Lilith Clay-Terzano, Mal and Karen Duncan, Hank and Melody Hall, Don Hall, Duela Dent, Roy Harper, Garth Curry, and Wally West.
Lilith noticed Dick was trying hard not to cry. She also sensed that Barbara was struggling both mentally and physically.
“He’s not dead you know. There was no body.” Barbara started. Lilith knew Knightvision was dead. Her ESP picked up no living thoughts from him, however she did sense he was not with the Legion of Doom, but with someone who truly cared for him. “Weird.” she thought. “Better keep that to myself for now, since I‘m not sure what that means.”
The entire chapel turned around when the heard flashbulbs and the low roar of many questions being asked. Hank Hall was not surprised to see the paparazzi trying to snap photos of Betty Kane and her husband Chuck Parker. Betty made her way to Barbara.
“I’m so sorry Barbara. So sorry about your son. And that poor girl….I feel like this is partially my fault….if I hadn’t told her it was ok to be Batgirl….maybe she and Brendon…” the former beauty queen cried.
“It’s ok Betty. Brendon isn’t not dead. He’s going to come bursting through those doors any minute!” Barbara said confidently.
“What?” Betty asked.
Chuck, noticing that Barbara was not herself, took his wife’s arm and escorted her to their seats. Daniel Jordan emerged and the service for Knightvison and Batgirl began. He didn’t quite know how he was going to get through the service. He prayed he could hold it together as his eyes teared up as he caught a glance of the Graysons.
Black Orchid was sitting near Starman.
“What are the plans for the Stranger?” he asked.
“I’m not sure. As far as I know, his wife is taking care of his farewell and wanted to keep things very private. Maybe it’s better that way. Brenda and Brendan were loved by so many. There are so many people here today, hurting…sad.” she replied.
The service began. Daniel Jordan delivered a beautiful memorial. Sobs could be heard every few moments. Later at the burial, Dick and Barbara Grayson stood over Brenda’s casket. There was an empty one for Brendon. As it was lowered into the ground, Barbara threw herself on it. She screamed with the pain that only a mother would know. Dick, along with help from Selina and Bruce were able to help her back to her chair.
“Helena, If there is anything we can do for your family let us know.” Scott Trevor said to Helena Wayne.
“Thanks Scott. I don’t know if any of us will ever be the same.” she said, a tear streaming down her cheek. She turned and joined her family under the graveside tent.
Jerrica and Scott Trevor made their way to their car.
“Not quite the way to spend an afternoon is it?” she said.
“No. I’ve had enough of this. Let’s go home. Mom and Dad are coming over. Aunt Donna and Mindy too. Let’s go see our boy.” Scott Trevor smiled as he leaned over to kiss his wife.

EPILOGUE 2:
A sleek, black all-terrain vehicle plowed through snow and ice. The Himalayas were not a forgiving region, but the vehicle kept going. Inside, a beautiful woman consulted maps while an equally attractive man steered and observed a GPS.
“I don’t think it is here, sister.” The dark haired man said.
“It has to be, Fabri. All the maps, all the legends point to this area.” The woman known as Kitty-Kat replied. She looked back at a black coffin. We have to find it, Fabri. We have to.”
“I still can’t believe you were able to break into the Legion of Doom headquarters. I know you are good, but you slipped in totally undetected. They had to have tons of surveillance. Papa trained you well. You even stole Knightvision’s body—while his friends were just a few feet away.” Her brother said.
“I just wish I could have spared him all that pain. It was awful Fabri. At least that awful Batgirl is out of the way and now Knightvision will love me. He will join our family.”
Fabri was quiet as his sister rambled on. He loved her dearly, but when it came to Knightvision, her judgment was quite clouded. If Fabri had not loved his sister so much, he would have said no to her plan.
“It will be dark soon, brother. I guess we should head back down the mountain and try again tomorrow.” Kitty-Kat said as she watched the sun begin to set.
“Do not worry my love.” She thought as she looked back at the coffin that held Knightvision’s remains. “My brother and I will find the Lazarus Pit and you will know life again. A life with me. A life of love….”

Epilogue 3:
The Hall of Doom…
After the Legion had vanished, Brainiac was able to retrieve the Hall of Doom. The Titans were so shaken up, they left the Legion’s headquarters in an effort to quickly tend to their wounded members. The structure sped through the air high above a Brazilian rainforest.
“This is all her fault!” Stingray shouted. “If not for the Cheetah, we wouldn’t be on the run!”
“Fish woman sit down and shut up!” Solomon Grundy yelled as she smashed the table in front of him.
“You forget Stingray, the Cheetah brought us Knightvision and Batgirl….” The Riddler said.
“And neither of them will be troubling us again.” Smiled Scream Queen.
The Legion erupted into a huge argument. Sultana, who had been on a mission in space during the Cheetah’s plan, listened as the group continued to fight.
“Will someone clue me in? I come back to a bloody mess and you all at each other’s throats!” she demanded.
Subzero took Sultana aside and explained what had transpired.
“If you ask me, the fault lies with our leadership!” Sir Simian Sinister said, pointing at Lance Luthor.
“Me? You dare accuse me, ape-man!?” Luthor replied.
“Illogical.” Brainiac offered.
“My brother is right! Cheetah had a flawless plan! She masterminded the capture of the most powerful Titans. We should have acted as a team to kill them all…..and be ready for when their friends showed up!” Giantessa said quite agitated.
“Watch your tongue woman.” Luthor said, his eyes narrowing.
“Does everyone forget how I killed the Stranger!? And how I didn’t trust the Cheetah in the first place!” Stingray exclaimed.
“I have had enough of this!” The Cheetah screamed, eyes wide with rage. Most of you are second rate! Rip offs of the originals!”
“You am wrong! Bizarbra two of kind.” Bizarbara said.
“Oh shut up, ratchet face!” Toyman shouted. “I only got to use my toy drill! I had all kinds of new toys to use on Champion and the others!”
“I think it was a mistake for me to try to recapture my past.” The Cheetah said. “I’m leaving! I will re-start the Legion of Doom—the REAL Legion! God help anyone who doesn’t agree with me!”
“You can count me in!” Giantessa said. “The humid air here is too putrid for my hair!”
“Where my sister goes, I go!” Sir Simian Sinister said.
“You helped get rid of the biggest thorn in my side, Cheetah. I’m with you.” The Riddler said as Scream Queen knodded in agreement.
“Hooooo hoooooo! This is going to be fun! Count me in tooooo!” The Toy Man said as he leapt from his seat and hugged the Cheetah. She quickly shoved him away.
“Cheetah am Solomon Grundy’s only friend! I go with her!” the creature from Slaughter Swamp said.
“Just a moment.” Luthor began. “There is only one Legion of Doom. One that I control. Do you all think you can leave so easily?”
“I dare you to try to stop us, little man!” Giantessa said, growing to giant size.
“Our first act shall be to claim the Hall of Doom as our own!” Sir Simian Sinister growled.
Within seconds, the battle lines were drawn. Sultana sided with Luthor as she did not know the Cheetah and quite honestly did not care for those who sided with her.
Sub Zero sat back and watched them all argue. He didn’t care one way or the other.
“Hmmmm. I need to see how this all plays out he said to himself. “Need to see who comes out on top before choosing a side.”
“Fine!” Luthor started. “Brainiac, Bizarbara, Stingray, Sultana, Subzero are all with me!” The rest of you are no longer welcome here!” he said as he pressed a button on the podium before him, teleporting the Cheetah and her followers to some unknown place.
“You should have let us destroy them!” shouted the Sting Ray, waiving her right fist in the air.
“Another time,” began the son of Lex Luthor. “We’ve got more important things to take care of right now.”
“I concur,” Braniac interrupted. “We must make repairs to the Hall of Doom before the Titans of Justice find us.”
“And once we’re done, we’ll find the Cheetah and her lackeys and make them wish they’d never crossed us!” declared the Sting Ray as she blasted the Cheetah’s nameplate into dust.
The End!
