How do you like The 6th Gun? That's an ONI book, isn't it? I've been wanting to get the nice hardcover because it looks like a good deal.
Got my Usagi HC in, hadn't even had time to look at it yet. Also got the My Friend Dahmer graphic novel.

Just heard about a Shaky Kane one-shot from last summer that I missed: it was called "That's Because You're a Robot", which I think is a pretty catchy title. Speaking of Kane, Has Bulletproof Coffin been abandoned, I wonder? Haven't seen any new isues or collections for quite some time. Berk, Shaky's been super busy with drawing The Beef, written by Richard Starkings (Elephantmen) and doing some various projects as well. And I'm with you; I'd love to see more Bulletproof Coffin, but that's up the Kane and Hine. Did you also pick up, Cap'n Dinosaur one-shot as well?

No, I must have missed hearing about that one, and The Beef as well. Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for those. Looks like the only thing I'll be buying this week will be the latest issue of Morrison's Multiversity. I might have a look for the Warren Ellis Moon Knight collection too, if there are any left - apparently it's already been out for a while.

Latest Marvel solicits reveal that She-Hulk is ending with issue #12.
Who wants to put money on a relaunch at #1 with a $3.99 price tag?

Latest Marvel solicits reveal that She-Hulk is ending with issue #12. Who wants to put money on a relaunch at #1 with a $3.99 price tag? I don't think I would take that bet. While the cynic inside me says it is certainly possible, looking at the sales numbers on the series I don't think it is being cancelled to revive and relaunch, I think it's cancelled because it wasn't catching an audience. She-Hulk is not an A-lister that "has" to have a title. She is a C-lister they tried to feature, and it didn't sell enough. More likely, since they want to feature female characters, a different female led comic will be launched at $3.99 in it's place. -M

If they did "replace" it with another female, who is most likely to get a shot?

If they did "replace" it with another female, who is most likely to get a shot? Not sure. They seem to be setting up Wanda (Scarlet Witch) for as more prominent role in Axis based on what I have seen of solicitations (I'm not reading it), but usually the events result in a slate of launches, so it is likely something launching from either Axis or the Edge of Spider-Verse event (I have seen lots of stuff surrounding the Gwen Stacy spider-character so that could be something, but who knows. -M

I'm so out of the loop (I only buy Captain Marvel and read Ms Marvel and She-Hulk on Unlimited) I don't know what Axis is. I'm not sure I'd check out a Wanda book. I thought Gwen already had a book, but that would make sense. I was thinking/hoping for Spider-Woman or Daughters of the Dragon (but that's my pipe dream).

Speaking of Captain Marvel, I got the first TPB along with the new Batman '66 HC and a "used" copy of the first World's Finest TPB today.

I didn't realize the sales on She-Hulk were so low. I had always assumed it was one of those titles with mid-level sales that was surviving mainly due to great reviews and the fact that it was a book starring a female character. I'll agree that she is a C-lister though, and I was never expecting her to have an ongoing title that would last for an extended length of time. I was hoping she'd get at least two years worth of issues, enough for an omnibus release.
Speaking of omnibus releases, I also noticed from the latest solicits that Hawkeye is getting an omnibus release... but no OHC vol. 2? Since I have the OHC vol. 1 and was hoping to complete the run with a vol. 2, that's certainly annoying.

Yeah, apparently Marvel is getting bad about doing that. I've got the first two HC of Aaron's Thor, but I'm not sure I want to buy the third since the series is ending/ended with #25 and I'm sure they'll do an omnibus for it.

If they did "replace" it with another female, who is most likely to get a shot? Hercules. Who will now be a woman.

Axis is this week's cross-ever event, after which.... nothing will ever be the same again! So far, it's 2 issues in and has been dreadful. Disappointed that Shulkie has been cancelled, though I still think that She-Hulk is a ridiculous name for a character; the book has been interesting and different, both in writing and art. Good to see Marvel trying a few different-ish approaches, even if their line is still wall-to-wall spandex. The new Captain Marvel series has been better, but it still feels a bit slight - doesn't feel like it's really caught fire yet.

I have no idea which heroine they'll choose, but - always depending of course on the creators, how the overall premise sounds, what the artwork looked like, etc, etc - I would be interested in any series featuring:
Valkyrie Crystal Thena Sersi Clea Umar Victoria Bentley Jennifer Kale Mantis Moondragon Sif Hela Black Widow
and probably lots of others I can't think of at the moment. Odds are, of course, that even if one or more of these characters were given their own series I wouldn't care for it. Most of them have appeared here and there in various things over the last few years, but the new versions tend to annoy me in one way or another.
