Archie has released the first details of the new Sabrina series that will be a companion title for Afterlife with Archie, done in the same mature (i.e. non-all-ages) style as Afterlife. Robert Hack, who has done alt covers for Afterlife is the artist. Sabrina article-M |

Does anyone know what the deal is with the upcoming Hulk Vs. Iron Man book? It appears to be a Original Sin spinoff. It's a spin-off of Original Sin called Original Sins (how original) and the creative team alternates between Mark Waid and Kieron Gillen (the current Hulk and Iron Man writers) and explores the Tony/Bruce relationship (or if you want is a ret-con of that relationship). I forget off hand who the artitsts are, but one artist does the two Waid issues and another does the two Gillen issues. -M It's also the end of both Waid's run on Hulk and Gillen's run on Iron Man. |

Whether they are tied together beyond that, I don't know. -M Although, the series is apparently set in the 1960's. It will be interesting to see how it ties in, whether Sabrina is older than she looks - which is very possible, given that her aunts in normal Archie continuity are much older than they appear - or whether this is all deep background stuff before her birth. I'm very curious what they might do with Salem in a series like this, as I think Salem is more interesting as a character than Sabrina is. I am also intrigued by the fact that the series will apparently also feature the extremely creepy Golden Age character Madam Satan. Looking forward to this one. |

Just got my entire haul of new comics for the month today, as Marvel decided to release everything on my pull list this week.
Moon Knight #4 was weird, but it was a step up from the last two issues; that's not saying much, but at least it didn't feel as though I'd have been better off burning $4 in the backyard than buying this book.
Captain America #21 was the end of the "Iron Nail" storyline and was OK. Nothing too exciting, but it did set up some future storylines.
Iron Man #27 continued the storyline with the Rings of the Mandarin. Not as good as the last two issues, as Tony's time in Svartalfheim wrapped up and Malekith left the book, but it was certainly serviceable.
All-New X-Factor #8 continued a string of improvement over the past few issues, as some subplots were continued and a few new ones were started. Probably the best of the four that I read tonight.
That's it for me in June, but I'll keep checking back to see what ya'll are reading.

Got my May box... wow, I didn't realize what a big different it makes when there's an extra week or two... 83 items.  Started with Iron Man (25-26)....I didn't like how easily Tony beat Malekith, when the league of gods (or whatever that was called) had so much trouble. I love him and all, but it was all too easy. Lots of fun, still, though. Uncanny Avengers actually moved forward... looking forward to the next issue... lots of good stuff in this one. The annual was fun, too. |

Got to most of my Marvel stuff:
Liked ASM alot... great use of the extended MU (Johnny Storm with no powers, Flash with GotG).
OTOH, we get Thor sitting in Loki's living room, which makes NO sense.
X-Books were decent, not great. I'm curious where they're heading with the Cyclops side of the books, but it's taking so long to get there.. I'm close to the end of my patience.
Thor is still excellent (though slow as well), as is Daredevil.
Iron Patriot has bad art and feels like it should be Steel, so no surprise it's a mini now.
