I don't think they are. I just checked every channel on DirecTV and basic cable and didn't see it anywhere, and there's nothing on the site except ESPN3. It's odd they aren't at least on CBSSports since they're partners according to the site.
A 5-13 team being in the playoffs is nuts.

I found the score shortly after the game ended. Pittsburgh Power lost their first playoff appearance 56-48 to the Orlando Predators. Still they ended their season with 12-straight wins. Pretty good for a team that's only four seasons old. I don't think they are. Tiger down with a back injury again. I don't think he'll play another round on tour until next year.
Rory wins again and moves back to the #1 ranking in the world. He may be there for a while.
The Cubs need to work on this tanking thing. You can't get the #1 pick beating the Dodgers 2 out of 3. Just beat the Cardinals and be nice to everyone else.

Even if they get the #1 pick, they could pull an Astros and be unable to sign them....college for a year and drafted by a different organization, or sign with the Cubs for a career where you're rushed to the bigs to lose big and often only to be dealt somewhere else when you're first contract is up....

Your reminder of the rivalry between the Cubs and the Cards, which is a great one, prompts me to ask a question about lesser-known, but bitter sports rivalries. Everyone hears (probably too much) about Sox-Yanks and Giants-Dodgers, but do, say, the Mariners have a nasty grudge out against, maybe, the Angels, or do the Jazz despise, oh, I don't know, the Grizzlies? An inquiring mind wants to know. (Lately, btw, the Sox and Sox fans seem to have more venom ready for the Rays and the Orioles.)

The NY football Giants are perhaps my least favorite team in the NFL, but you never want to see stuff happen to the people who play the game. Best wishes to RB David Wilson of the Giants, who is retiring at age 23 due to complications form a neck injury and fusion surgery he had last year. He took a stinger to the neck in practice last week and the resulting symptoms caused doctors to advise he not play football any more because of the risk of serious permanent damage ot his neck and spine. Hopefully he was responsible with the money he made and can find a rewarding career to pursue with the rest of his life, as he is just a young man.

Tiger will attempt to play in the PGA Championship tomorrow morning. We'll see how many holes he can go. Also, it took just one game for Javier Baez to hit a game winning home run for the Cubbies. I refuse to have any hope, but it's nice to see a player get a home run in his first game.

There aren't many rugby fans here, as far as I know, but I have to say that last weekend's Super 15 (aka Super Rugby) final between the NSW (Sydney, Aus.) Waratahs and the Canterbury (NZ) Crusaders was a great contest. Waratahs apparently dominated the first 20 or 30 minutes (I missed this part), then the Crusaders mounted a comeback only to lose out narrowly in the end. Very competitive, very dramatic game between probably the two best club teams in the world, as far as rugby is concerned, this year at least (though Heineken Cup winners Toulon might beg to differ). Everything you'd want to see in a championship match, no matter what the sport.

I enjoyed watching rugby in college. I had friends on the team. Every school seems to have a particular sport that has a reputation for wild, drunken rowdiness. At my school it was the rugby team. The parties after the games were epic.

NFL preseason is under way. My 49ers look lackluster, but whatever. It's preseason. Means nothing.

The parties after the games were epic. There is a very strong social side to the sport, even outside the usual college rowdiness.

Dodgers take 3 of 4 from the Angels in the Freeway Series, moving the Boys in Blue 3 1/2 over the Giants for first place in the NL West.

Javier Baez hits two more home runs and now trails only Ryne Sandberg as the greatest second baseman in Cubs history. (from what I've read the last two days) Rory McIlroy has the 36 hole lead again at the PGA Championship with Tiger not even close to making the cut. And now it's time for DA BEARS!
