From Could John Stewart Be The Green Lantern Of Justice League? Posted April 3, 2015 by by Rich Johnston DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns brought Hal Jordan back from the dead and established him as the central Green Lantern again. He introduced Simon Baz as a replacement at one point. But despite DC Comics ordering his death at one point (reversed when the writer Joshua Hale Fialkov walked in protest), and the cancellation of his Green Lantern Corps series it looks like John Stewart is on the up and up at DC after April and May’s June Convergence event. Geoff Johns posted to Instagram, Grew up with John Stewart. Re-reading the run from his intro to Mosaic. Anxious for Jason Fabok to draw him in upcoming issues of Justice League! First, could that mean John Stewart will be the Green Lantern character in the Justice League comic going forward. And also, knowing Geoff Johns closeness to the movie side, as Chief Creative Officer t… could that mean that the Green Lantern we see in the upcoming Justice League movies could also be John Stewart. As we pointed out once, that is the Green Lantern most people seem to know…

This is my take on this subject matter. John Stewart vs Hal Jordan - To me, Hal is always will be Green Lantern to me. I consider John Stewart more a secondary Green Lantern and the problem is that John Stewart is more attune to the today's generation than Hal ever be. I struggle with this issue and being a man in my 50's - I recognized Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern and John Stewart and others are secondary. But, I have to accept the fact that John Stewart is the one that everyone wants ... and the legacy of Hal will die and begotten like the rest of them.

I don't think everyone wants John Stewart on the Justice League. While I like John, I definitely prefer Hal Jordan. Plus, if John is so much more popular than Hal, then why hasn't Green Lantern Corps(in which John is the star) outsold Green Lantern(in which Hal is the star) for a very long time?
