That's what it was! I knew something was off about it (I too, fell like they were going in slow motion) but I couldn't put my finger on what exactly.

That's what it was! I knew something was off about it (I too, fell like they were going in slow motion) but I couldn't put my finger on what exactly. It was laughably bad. I could accept the British Mod look even though it seemed like an odd fit for Tatooine...and I can forgive that the scenes seem so empty because I get that this was filmed under some pretty tough covid restrictions but that chase was terrible. I really have no idea how they saw that and were like, "Perfect, no need to do any reshoots here!" I've seen green screen pictures from amusement parks and zoos that conveyed motion better.

Latest episode was a huge improvement over the last and probably the strongest episode yet. The pacing moved much more quickly here while still delivering some solid characterization for Boba, Fenec and surprisingly Black Krrstan while also having a lot of action too.
Was it just me or did they tease a Mando appearance at the end? When Fenec said muscle could be paid for they plaid the Mandolorian theme, I don't know if we necessarily need him here on the show but it would certainly be fun.

I just realized that Ming Na may very well be a vampire as she just looks too damn young to actually be 58.

Asian women often look younger than their real age (a lot of my female Asian friends were carded well into their late 30s... us guys, not so much ), but Ming Na Wen is on another level. I don't know any Asian women her age that look like her, and I feel pretty confident in my sample size. She's not quite the same age yet, but another actress that I'm pretty sure will forever look like she's in her 20s: Zhang Ziyi

Latest episode felt more like a teaser for Mandalorian season three rather than an episode of Boba Fett...but it was a glorious episode.

Man, that was an awesome episode. Once again Boba got the shaft but I can't fault them too much because there were so many great moments to be had.
Cad Bane in live action was just amazing, hopefully we get to see more of him before all is said and done

I agree! It's a bit sad that Boba Fett's show is getting upstaged, but it's been some fine stuff, regardless of what they call the series.

What does it say about the show when the best episodes of the season had nothing to do with the main character? Honestly, they could have made this a season 3 of The Mandalorian. The first four episodes could have been compressed into 1-2 to setup why Mando needs to show up on Tattooine. They could have added a couple of episodes with Mando doing odd jobs and feeling out of sorts without his wingman, and finished with these last few episodes.
Now that I've seen what's under Boba's helmet, I'm not really sure that I needed a story that fleshed him out. I think he worked much better as a character shrouded in mystery.

Giving Boba and ending feels proper to me, we saw him as a kid worshiping his father in Attack of the Clones and then trying to find his way in the latter seasons of Clone Wars, he became the man with no name in Empire, "died" ignominiously in Return of the Jedi and now once again he's trying to find a new path. These episodes have certainly been a detour but I'm still interested in his journey.

I've seen it reported that filming the Luke Skywalker scenes involved a body double for the physical performance, a CGI face, and audio processing software to provide a younger Luke's voice (all those years playing the Joker has a done a number on Mark Hamill's voice I guess). So given all this... do they even really need to have Mark Hamill on set? Unless it's purely out of respect, but it seems to me that if they are doing all that computer wizardry to provide the face and voice, is he needed for the role at all?

I think some of it is respect, and some of it is so old fans will be happy he wasn't replaced. Seems like it would have been alot easier to just get Sebastian Stan

In the behind the scenes special they released a while back on the Mandalorian that was the process, but they also stated that Mark had a lot of input in the writing of the dialogue itself as well as the blocking (how he'd enter a room and so forth) so he was much more than a rubber stamp in the finale. How much he provided in the last episode of Boba Fett isn't known, but knowing his level of previous input the way Luke kept scooping up Grogu so he could keep up in the walking scene seemed like it fit with Mark's sense of humor so I'd guess he had similar creative input this time around as well.
