Gotham City…
The early spring breeze kissed the Huntress’s skin as she stood high atop the Aparo building in downtown Gotham City. She and Nightvision were patrolling the city and the night had been uncharacteristically quiet. She looked out over the city she called home and let herself relax a bit. Nightvision was on the south side of the city and the Huntress had taken the north. She was thinking about contacting her sometimes partner and asking his opinion on calling it a night. As quickly as the thought crossed her mind, she spotted a figure slip into a rooftop entrance of the Kane Jewelry Company.
“So much for a quiet night.” She mused. The Kane Jewelry Company was displaying jewelry from the Miss Universe organization and the Huntress knew whoever was sneaking into the building was up to no good.
“Whoever that is will trip the alarms, but I better be on hand to help the boys in blue.” she said, leaping from her perch.
Inside the jewelry company, a slinky figure glided across the floor. The figure dodged every sensor and efficiently disabled the alarm system with ease. A triple somersault propelled the intruder to the ultimate goal--the Miss Universe crown, valued at $550,000. Green eyes widened at the sparkling crown covered with over 250 diamonds and 150 cultured pearls. A black gloved hand with golden, razor sharp nails carved a hole into the glass case and caressed the crown worn by so many women from all over the world.
The Huntress had made her way into the building and was amazed at how quickly the intruder had shut down all of the alarms and detection devices.
“Must be a professional.” She thought. The Huntress spotted the figure and studied her for a moment. The mysterious thief moved with all the quiet elegance of a cat--in fact her outfit was black and skintight.
The Huntress gasped, “Mother?” But then she realized this woman was blonde and too young to be her mother. She appeared to be about the Huntress’s own age.
The woman heard Huntress’s whisper and spun around. She was wearing a black mask with cat ears along with a gold necklace and belt and was quite a sight in black and gold.
“Well, well! Are you vying for this crown too? I don’t think you would make it to the top 15” the woman sneered, dropping the crown into a bag.
“I don’t know who you are, but Gotham’s best cat-burglar retired years ago. We don’t welcome copy-cats in this town.” Huntress said, angry that someone evidently was trying to copy her mother’s old motif.
“It’s not copy-cat, it’s Kitty Kat! And this cat will claw your eyes out!” the woman hissed as she leaped into the air.
Huntress was taken by surprise at the woman’s speed, but she was undeterred. Kitty Kat landed on top of a large jewelry display and was studying her opponent.
“Could this girl be…?” she thought as she noticed Huntress reaching for her cross bow. Kitty Kat produced a bull whip and twirled it above her head. She struck at the Huntress and knocked the cross bow from her hand.
“Uh-uh, Bat-Girl, no bow and arrows for you!” Kitty Kat laughed as she hurled herself at the Huntress knocking her to the ground.
“I don’t need gimmicks to fight you, Catwoman-lite!” Huntress said as she kicked Kitty Kat off of her and into a large potted palm-tree.
“You’ve got a mouth on you! I’d better shut you up and get out of here with my little trinket!” Kitty Kat smiled, her green eyes flashing.
Huntress threw a bola at Kitty Kat, hoping to stop her. Kitty Kat dodged the bola and tossed her bag with the crown up to the ceiling, a chandelier catching it.
The two women then attacked each other--purple gloves and golden claws flying.
Kitty Kat held her own and happened to get a good look at the Huntress’s face.
“It’s true.” she thought, studying the bone structure and eyes of Helena Wayne.
POW! Huntress landed a punch to Kitty Kat’s nose.
“d**n. She distracted me. She fights just like her mother.” Kitty Kat thought. Kitty Kat realized this woman might be capable of stopping her. “I’ve got to end this and get out of here.”
The two women rolled around the floor, each one landing punches and scratches. Kitty Kat wiggled loose from the Huntress’s grasp and moved with lightning speed. Before the Huntress could get to her feet, her new adversary had leapt to the chandelier, grabbed the bag with the Miss Universe crown, and jumped out of a sky light.
“And I thought I was fast.” Huntress said as she quickly followed. She emerged from the shattered skylight to see Kitty Kat run to the side of the building and jump.
“NO!!! We’re 15 stories up!!” Huntress cried, running to the edge.
Below, she saw the woman land on her feet and run to a car that looked much like the Batmobile.
Kitty Kat revved the engine and looked up at the Huntress, who had thrown a bat line and was swinging down to the ground.
“HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Until we meet again! Tell your mother hello---and to watch her back!”
“Mother?” Huntress thought as she stood in the street watching the car speed away. “How did she know--? No time to worry about that now.” She said, reaching for her communicator. Nightvision was across town and maybe he could follow Kitty Kat.
“Nightvision!” she said urgently.
“What’s going on. You sound out of breath.” the man who was like a brother to her replied.
Huntress quickly filled him in about yet another rogue in Gotham City.
“I’ll get her. I’m heading that way now.” Nightvision said flatly.
“He really takes this whole bat thing way too far sometimes.” Huntress said.
Nightvision knew that the street Kitty Kat was speeding down would intersect with the freeway--the area he was patrolling.
“Ah, there she is. Right on time.” the muscular hero saw a sleek black car--and it seemed to have a giant cat head on the hood.
“Good grief--don’t tell me she calls the thing a Kitty-car.” he said shooting a grapping hook at the back bumper.
Kitty Kat looked in the rearview mirror of her convertible and saw Nightvision crawling up the back.
“How many crime fighters are in Gotham now!?” she hissed. “But, you are much cuter than my last new acquaintance.”
Nightvision made his way to the passenger seat. “Pull over.”
“Why don’t you pull up to my bumper?” Kitty Kat giggled as she accelerated. Her eyes met his and Nightvision suddenly wasn’t aware he was after a thief.
“She’s beautiful…her eyes…” he thought.
“Take a picture, beefcake! It’ll last longer!” Kitty Kat laughed. “I don’t pick up hitchhikers anyway, no matter how handsome they are!” she said pushing a green button.
‘Wh-?” Nightvision muttered as he had a moment of clarity. Before he could react the passenger seat violently ejected and went flying into the air.
“Oh, don’t you like my KAT-a-pult seat? So purrrrrfect for uninvitied guests--maybe you should have offered me some gas money!” Kitty Kat smiled as she disappeared into the night.
Nightvision was able to jump from the flying seat and grabbed on to a street light. He swung around and landed on his feet and then promptly contacted Huntress.
“She got away.” he said.
“Looks like we have someone who thinks she’s Catwoman. I have to admit she’s got the act down.” Huntress said.
‘We’ll get her. No one’s as good as your mother.“ Nightvision replied, still thinking about Kitty Kat’s deep green eyes.

The next morning, Wayne Manor…..
“BRUCE!!!! Have you seen the paper??” a beautiful woman in a red bathrobe screeched.
“I haven’t, but I am assuming you have.” Bruce Wayne replied.
“Read this!” Selina Kyle-Wayne said, shoving the paper into Bruce’s hands.
“ ‘New Catwoman Steals Miss Universe Crown‘--hey, that article is by Vicki’s son!” Bruce said.
“UGH!!! I’m sure she’s grinning ear to ear about this! She never got over you , you know and now her nosey son is a reporter! And whoever this Copycat is--I’ll scratch her eyes out!!”
Bruce put his arm around his wife. “I’m sure Helena is already on this woman’s trail. She’s not going to let some common thief rip off her mother.”
“You’re right. But it makes me so mad. I gave up crime years ago--even helped you as Catwoman. I don’t want anyone mixing me up with my old life.”
“I don’t think anyone will. I bet this woman will be in jail by the end of the week.”
Selina smiled at her husband as he made his way to the shower. She sat on the edge of the bed looking at the headline.

The outskirts of Gotham City….Kitty Kat’s eerie lair…..
“Tom-Cat! My morning martini please.” Kitty Kat requested. She had changed into a long purple gown after her wild night. The Miss Universe crown was perched atop her head.
She looked over at the shirtless henchman, dressed in tight black pants and a cat mask. His hairless torso glistened.
“And why don’t you come over here and let me look at you while I have my drink.”
“Yes, mistress.” the young man replied.
Soon Kitty-Kat was surrounded by 10 men, all dressed the same as Tom-Cat.
“What a night boys! Who knew the Catwoman had a daughter. Well, she’s met her match in me. I’m sure she’s telling her dear old momma about me as we speak.” Kitty Kat said, picking up a baby black panther.
“Mistress, what do you have planned next?” one of her henchman asked.
‘Lynx, dear….I think we need to hit Gotham with a crime spree like none ever seen before. Did you do that research I asked you about.”
“Yes, mistress.”
“Listen up, boys. We’re going to recreate a legendary crime spree by the Catwoman herself. That’s sure to get her attention---and then I can kill her!”
“Kill her? I thought she was your idol.” a man spoke up.
With lightning speed, Kitty Kat cracked her whip across his chest--drawing blood and dropping him to the floor.
“Are you questioning me!!!?” she growled.
“N..No mistress..I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.” the man said, putting his hand across the huge welt.
“Oh my…my poor little kitten. The rest of you are excused.” Kitty Kat said as the other men left the room.
‘There, there, I didn’t mean it. You know I love all of my little kittens.” she said as she undressed and pushed the man onto his back and passionately kissed him.
The duo made love on the floor as Kitty Kat’s mind drifted to her unexpected car passenger.
“Everything is falling into place. I’ll finally have my revenge on Catwoman….and I may add a new face to my litter.” she thought as Nightvision’s face was clear in her mind………
