There's already an image upload option in the reply window that serves a similar purpose. I discourage it's use, though, as proboards only provides us with a limited storage space, and every uploaded image from any given user competes with the same space we use for banner images, background images, etc. When that space maxes out, proboards starts charging money.

I've tried to disable the upload feature, but you can't. Instead, every month or so, I just have to go through it all and delete old images uploaded by users.

I MUCH prefer folks use photobucket and other image hosting services.



As for Postimage.org, it is an independent services, but I'm not sure what the guarantee is for how long they'll keep your image up. I'm also wary of it as it is largely used for child pornography. I kid you not. It's true. The fact that you don't need to register to post images is a magnet for people like that. So I expect the site to go down eventually.
