We've had many female-centric topics already covered, but we haven't specifically covered women who lean to the sinister side of the spectrum.
This week, post a cover featuring a female villainess. The character needs to be one who is typically viewed or portrayed as a villain, and NOT a heroine in the throes of temporary insanity, under a temporary spell, PMS, etc.
For example, a cover portraying Jean Grey as Dark Phoenix would be acceptable, whereas a cover portraying regular/normal Phoenix throwing a hissy fit would not be acceptable. I think you get the idea.
The traditional rules also apply--
- Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest.
- The cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before November 2014.
- Please include the title and issue number of your choice for the benefit of anyone who can't see your cover.
- Covers must be posted before voting begins, Tuesday, November 19th, beginning at 12:01 am PST and ending at 11:59 pm PST.
- Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme (or that you just like the best) in bold.
- The winner of the contest is the poster with the most votes after the voting period ends.
- The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest.
- If you don't think a particular cover fits the theme, just don't vote for it. No need to post disparaging remarks about it. But if a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, politely point that out to the poster, who may choose to replace it.
As always, looking forward to seeing your choices!
