To be fair...there were only about a dozen or so books that came out this week.

To be fair...there were only about a dozen or so books that came out this week. Yeah, it's an understandably slim week, I was pretty surprised to actually have even one new book myself but have yet to pick it up. |

Fantastic Four #5/Legacy #650. Written by Dan Slott. Art by Aaron Kuder, Michael Allred, Laura Allred, and Adam Hughes. Cover by Esad Ribic. The wedding of Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters. Also a story about the courtship of Ben and Alicia. And a bachelor party organized by Johnny Storm. The main story is the wedding (of course) with nice art by Kuder (who is also the new artist on FF). Lots of nice touches by Slott throughout the story. And yes they do get married! Then the Allreds' art sells a "retro" story by Slott that gives some insight into Ben and Susan's relationship as friends over the years (which I don't remember ever being examined before) and how she was instrumental in getting Ben And Alicia together. Another nice heartfelt story. And then we have the entertaining comedic story of the bachelor party beautifully illustrated by Hughes. Again Slott does a great job telling a funny and a feel good story. Overall the whole issue was packed with emotion and good feelings. As it should be. All the usual action will be next issue when we see the return of both Doom and Galactus! Great job. And great timing. Nice heartfelt story to read around the holidays but a little bittersweet with the recent passing of Stan Lee. 10/10.
