I did a quick Ebay sold search...seems like there not many even available. An issue #1 is up for auction for $5 and an issue #7 sold a while ago for $12 or so. Odd. Maybe there are a few die hard fans and maybe it was a low print run??

Must be a really low print run... I can't see any other reason.

Huh, would have never thought something from someone as big as Marvel and in a decade know for publicity and high print runs that they would be scarce. Especially with the cartoon running at the same time.
Though it may be popularity. The 2006 series by SLG (which I did not know about till now) of the one issue available on Lone Star it is $6. Though not as big of an increase as the Marvel series starting out at a $4 cover price as oppose to $1.50.

So, I'm pondering selling the first two Deadpool mini-series from 1993 and 1994. They are going on eBay for around $30 for each complete series, and I haven't read either of them in years. I hate to do it in case they blow up even more, but they really are just taking up space in my collection, and I could use the money to buy something like the second Fantastic Four Omnibus, which I would get far more enjoyment out of.
Also, I saw that #10 of the most recent New Avengers series is selling for silly money because of the first appearance of Thanos' son. Not that he's been rumored to be in a movie or anything, but people will buy even the most tenuous thread attached to Thanos.

So Death and Thanos finally settled down? Damn he's been chasing that tail for a while.

If you are inferring and implying Thanos and Death are the parents of Thane that appears there, you'd be wrong. In the Thanos mini by Aaron, the plotline that in his youth Thanos fathered hundreds of bastards across the galaxy during his days as a space pirate and then later learned having such seeds scattered was a bad idea and hunted them all down and killed them. Thane was one who escaped and was granted sanctuary until he emerged in New Avengers #10 (I think he was hidden among the Inhumans but am unsure).
Now Thanos and Death do come to an understanding in Starlin's Infinity Revelation, OGN, but that has nothing to do with the son of Thanos storyline in New Avengers #10....

Well, whaddaya know! I own fewer than five issues of UXM, but that's one of them. Bought it new off the stands, probably for the Dazzler appearance. This day's looking up.

BC story-M I'm thinking it will fizzle out soon...I'd rather remain speculating on Claremont books that go up to ish #143. Those have remained fairly consistent.

www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=235591I noticed how high in price Cap Marvel Vol 4 #23 is compared to the rest of the series. Having only 15-18 of the series I can't see why. It doesn't note that the issue say has a Thanos or Star Lord appearance, as they are all the rage in getting random comics' prices jacked up.

E-bay have a 1/2 dozen of them as 'buy it now' for cover or slightly above... even mile high only has it listed for $8.50.. more than the rest of the series, but far less than Mycomicshop. Funnily enough, mycomicshop itself sold a copy on E-Bay 3 weeks ago for $2.60

Nope. Never bought a comic with the intention or expectation of turning a profit. I had bought books thinking they probably would or possibly could increase in value, but that was an after thought or pleasant side effect of my buying choices.

So while I was reading some of the DC business stuff, I noticed BC does a monthly 'hot comics' column, where they list recent books that are 'hot' with price... two struck me in the '$50 club'.. Iron Man 282 (first War Machine) and 305 (first Hulkbuster). I checked E-bay, and the latter seems to be going for around $15.. with LOTS of the legends version mixed it. The War Machine thing I really don't get.. it's not really a first appearance... James Rhodes had been around for years, and been Iron Man before.. is a new paint job on the armor really worth $50? E-bay had them close to $50 (a couple buy it nows for $35).
I guess I happy I got both off the rack for a $1.
Edit: Just did a bit more checking... they seem to exaggerate quite a bit... or perhaps they're listing the best price you could possible get. They have Ms. Marvel 1 at $60... there's one sold auction on e-bay for that price, but most are more like $30.
