Any Fans of Amalgam Comics - Your Favorite Characters!I'm a big fan of these characters and wondering if there are some here in Classic Comic Forum? - I would like each member to select 5 or more characters and please post images of them so we all know what they look like because we haven't seen these awhile and I have a huge collection of these comics and I was thinking about having us to share some of our favorites. Please feel free to make any comments if you like. So, I will start out 5 of these characters in my next post!

Thorian of the New Asgods
Combination of Marvel's Thor and DC Comics Orion! ... I like this character because the design plays homage to Jack Kirby's Art. Doctor StrangefatePays homage to two of the most powerful mystics in both Marvel and DC Comics Universes - Doctor Strangefate is one character you don't want to mess with. DarkclawOne of the most feared Amalgam character - a perfect blend of DC Comics Batman and Marvel Comics Wolverine in one dynamic package. AmazonWhen you combine the awesome might of DC Comics Wonder Woman with Marvel Comics X-Men Storm - you got yourself a character with an awesome array of powers that beyond anyone reasoning. Iron LanternOne of the most unique Amalagam characters - that combines the machinery and the sophistication of Iron Man's technologies with Green Lantern's lantern - you got yourself a winner here!

Doctor Strangefate was probably the best written of the books..and a such a great reveal as well. Waid & Gibbons on Super Solider was solid as well.

The most straightforward ones tended to be the best (Super Soldier, Strangefate, Amazon).
The worst ones tended to be the really illogical ones (mixing Ghost Rider with the Demon: good and logical choice. Oh and we're putting the Flash in there as well. Why?)
My favourite was one of the second generation: Spider-Boy for the Ladronn art and the dozens of Legion of Superheroes characters they had in it.

Dr Strangefate was by far the best one. Most of them were kinda interesting universe mash-ups, but Strangefate is a pretty great story on its own.
I liked Iron Lantern a lot, too.

Yeah, I'd have to say Strangefate very strong. Both Super Soldiers were excellent as well.
I vaguely remember getting a kick out of Lobo the Duck too and being surprised at Speed Demon.

I liked them back in the day, especially the Ladronn book, but looking now, how damn cool would an "Amazon" book be, those 2 together would be fantastic.

I really liked Legends of Dark Claw, and was amazed at what a believable amalgam it was, like Amazon, but unlike many of the others. I read Dr Strangefate way later after it had came out, as when it did come out, I was unfamiliar with both characters. But I did enjoy reading that one too. I remember most all the ones posted and own them all except Challengers of the Fantastic. Even the cover is completely new to me. I don't remember ever having seen it. I liked the Bullets & Bracelets, except Thanoseid. Maybe cause they seem to me to be very different characters, though they are often lumped together or Thanos accused of being a Darkseid clone.
