This issue could very easily make it into other lists like favorite pairing of artist and character (Don Newton and Batman) or favorite cover. But out of the Newton issues of 'Tec and Batman, this one sticks for the awesomeness of the assembled villains. It has one of my favorite splash pages ever. And this is one issue where I remember my specific copy of the issue. I think I've told this story before. I bought it just a few years ago. I open it up and I see writing in the margin of the splash page. Now, I could gnash my teeth and decry having a defaced copy. But I'm interesting in reading the story rather than re-sale value. So what was written on it? Some girl gave it to her boyfriend as an anniversary gift (7 months of dating). So it has a neat story to it. I think it's cool that she got him a big anniversary issue (how appropriate) and I hope he was ticked off that she wrote in it.
