Well gee, why are so many inflatable dolls female? Why are vibrators phallic shaped? Why do I dream of giant hot dogs running through the Lincoln Tunnel?

She won't do dishes or clean windows. And I'd freak out a bit if she sounded like Hal 9000 or that voice from Wargames ("Do you want to play a game today?")

Something I wasn't expecting at all is how impersonal these digital assistants are.
In the old Star Wars movie, I though it very rude and even mean for humans to treat C-3PO and R2-D2 as mere machines, even though they mimicked emotions to the point they seemed to have genuine ones) I could feel pity for HAL in 2001, or affection for the Lost in Space and Forbidden planet robots.
But Siri and Cortana, who are polite machines who can come up with clever repartee? Nope, I can't relate to them at all. I even find them a little creepy! I wonder if that will change as the A.I. s get more sophisticated.

I'll probably be in the market for a new blu-ray player. Getting tired of the loading issues I've been having lately with my old one.
Now, I see some models have a front USB jack. I'm unclear if that means I can connect my laptop with it and play video files that I have saved to it.
Otherwise any recommendations? Not interested in 3D capabilities and would like the price range to be no more than $100. I have a Best Buy & Costco in the neighborhood

My blu ray player is a few years old and cannot even read an external hard drive; flash drives only.

No matter the types of ports installed, one needs to see the formats the blu-ray player supports. I have plenty of now-deleted Youtube music videos on an external hard-drive as well as downloaded concerts. Guess I could just use the TV as the laptop's monitor It's funny, since I wrote my question 2 days ago, the blu-ray has not given me any loading problems. As if it got scared about my intentions and went on best-behavior mode

So I need to install a new graphics card on my computer in order to play Minecraft with my daughter. Problem is, I really don't understand how graphics cards are measured.
I apparently need:
but most of the graphics cards for sale on ebay aren't worded exactly like this. Can someone help me to understand what I'm looking for in a graphics card?
EDIT: I think I found one that will work for about $30 (shipping included) from ebay. Wish me luck!
