Nice addition of the Moog Etherwave. I've got a Moog Theremini that I bought when they first came out, and wouldn't trade for anything. Use it frequently at gigs. I've also got a couple of other theremins (an older hand-built Enkelaar dual-wand from Tasmania and a single-wand pitch-only Theremaniacs unit), but the Theremini is just fantastic for live work due to its ability to tune to specific keys, modes and scales, plus it has a built in MiniMoog effects engine and the ability to adjust from the classic portamento to hard defined keyboard-esque scale notes.
I haven't had the time to get any good at the theremin yet, it's on my post-retirement practice list along with my erhu and 6-string fretless (both of which, unlike the Moog, are low budget no-name instruments just for learning on). The tunable Theremini was attractive, but I am getting into the ear challenge of these three instruments; I feel like my sense of pitch has magically improved dramatically in my old age, so I like proving it to myself! |

For now...and hopefully only a few more days, I post from here:  I had to clear out a lot of stuff to show the house for sale, but I kept a few books and instruments out...and I ran across a Psycho Man action figure that I'd forgotten I ever had while emptying the attic! That is way to clean and organized, for me. I would not be able to work in such an environment. A pile for everything and everything in its pile! |

I must confess it's uncharacteristically clean and organized. You should have seen it before I had to tidy up for the house showing!

Mostly laptop, sofa. Sometimes a quick reply from my phone. I'm casual. Very cool setups others have though.

When at home, I generally post from my regular PC in my office. Currently I’m visiting my Mom in Alabama, so I’m posting this from my iPad. I rarely post from my phone.

I never post from my phone and I've even given up doing it with my tablet as I just find it too clumsy and awkward. Next time I travel I might invest in a small laptop to see if that works any better for me. |
